CHAPTER 5

Ilang araw na ang nakalipas matapos ang trip sa Lagoon. My brothers are always out with their friends habang ako naman ay sumasama kina Mommy at Lola Elsie. Dad is at the club house too playing golf with some of his old buddies kaya kaming mga babae ang naiiwan.

My grandmother is famous in this town. Sobrang dami niyang kaibigan na madalas siyang imbitahan lumabas kaya sinasama niya ako at si Mommy para makipag-socialize.

"This is my daughter-in-law, Solana and my granddaughter, Este." Lola Elsie introduced us to one of her amigas, Beth.

Nasa club house rin kami ngayon dahil dito nila naisipang magkita para mag brunch. May membership naman ang pamilya namin dito kaya nakakapasok kami.

"Oh, tamang tama! This is my granddaughter, Trish. I believe magka-edad lang sila nitong si Este." Lola Beth introduced Trish na kakarating lang sa restaurant.

She smiled before she said, "We actually know each other, Gran."

I nodded, "We got introduced in a party."

"That's great! Maybe you want to catch up? Why don't you hangout, girls? I'm sure you'll find the adult talk boring. Mag-ikot nalang kaya kayo?" Mom said, encouraging us to explore the place.

I nodded kasi alam kong tama ang sinasabi ni mom. I've been in these lunch meetings for the past days and it can get boring sometimes.

The adults found a table habang nagkatinginan kami ni Trish, signalling each other to leave them alone at mag-ikot na.

I followed her at umalis na kami sa restaurant. The club house is not really big. Aside from the restaurant and the function hall, the pool and the golf course are the only things that we can see around here.

"Kai is here with your brothers." Trish announced which made me look at her.

I observed her and I can see her eyes glitter with the mention of his name. She likes him. I am sure of it. Kahit naman sa birthday party niya ay pansin ko na ang pagiging malapit niya kay Kai. She obviously like that idiot for her to stick around him throughout the night.

But Kai said that they are not together. Hindi rin ba niya gusto si Trish? She seems like an amazing girl. That idiot should start opening his eyes.

"Yeah, maagang umalis sina Kuya to meet him and their friends." I responded while nodding.

"Nasa may ilog sila sa labas nitong club house, gusto mong pumunta?" She asked with hopeful eyes.

I nodded in agreement. Wala namang bago na kasama ko ang mga Kuya ko at mga kaibigan nila kapag nandito kami.

Dumiretso kami sa parking lot at sumakay sa kulay pula niyang mini van. She's of legal age dahil magka-edad lang sila nina Kai kaya she can already drive.

I figured that she planned on really going there to see Kai pero kinailangan niyang ihatid ang lola niya. Kaya siguro dala niya ang sarili niyang sasakyan.

"I will message my mom na aalis tayo. Baka kasi hanapin nila tayo ng lola mo."

She nodded, "Thanks, Este."

Trish started the engine and drove out of the club house.

I sent a quick message to my mother saying na lumabas kami ng club house ni Trish para puntahan sila Kuya. For sure matutuwa pa iyon dahil kina Kuya lang ako pupunta and someone will look after me there.
