With the school day finally to a close, the students mingled around the room, a cacophony of sounds raising from their random conversations. Midoriya sat near the door talking with Uraraka and Todoroki, while Bakugou sat at his desk with his feet propped up on the table. Kirishima and Denki stood next to him, if only just to tease him slightly.

As the classroom door slid tentatively open, the conversations hushed slightly, everyone turning to see who the new visitor was.

A small set of violet eyes peaked around the corner. After a moment of scanning the room, the eyes seemed to light up, and in a flurry of motion the initially shy personality burst into the room making a beeline for Bakugou.

Before he could even react, the angsty blonde was trapped from the back with arms wrapped around his neck.

"Baki!" The words hit everyone in the room like a semi-truck.

"Ba....ki?" Midoriya's eyes went white with confusion as he tried to process how someone could say that and survive.

A vein seemed to pop in Bakugou's forehead. "Get off!"

At the strong words, the small arms released him, but the light and smile remained. However, Midoriya couldn't help but notice that despite the seemingly happy exterior, it seemed almost as if the girl was deliberately trying to hide something darker. Almost as if she tried hard enough to be happy, she would be.

"Vaila?" Uraraka was the first to step forward

"Uraraka! You're in this class too? Awesome!"

Midoriya walked up to the strange girl and Uraraka, a question forming on his lips. "You know her?"

"Oh, yes. We met this morning." There was a pause while Uraraka recalibrated before gesturing to Midoriya. "Oh, Vaila this is..."

"Wait!" The interruption from Vaila silenced everyone in shock. "I want to guess!"

"Guess?" Midoriya cocked his head, eyeing the strangeness that had just bulldozed into their classroom.

Without waiting for permission, she pointed accusingly at Midoriya. "You must be Deku, because you look like Celery!"

Midoriya chuckled nervously.

Bakugou scoffed. "Broccoli dumbass."

"Is that not what I said?" She looked at Bakugou, a slight pout in her voice. But that didn't stop her rampage.

"You!" She pointed to Todoroki next. Under his breath you could almost vaguely hear him asking to be left out of this. "You must be Half and Half because of your hair!"

Todoroki sighed indifferently.

"Hmm..." she scanned the room as if looking for someone else she might know. "Oh!" She pointed to Kirishima. "You must be shitty hair!"

Kiri hung his head. "Dude... why?"

"What about me? What about me?" Denki voiced in the corner, more than curious what name the girl would've claimed for him.

Without hearing him, Vaila looked around, her excitement fading. "Was I not right?"

She looked at Bakugou for confirmation who simply tsked and turned his head away.

"Well..." Midoriya rubbed the back of his head as he chuckled nervously. "Those are actually just insults."

She was silent for a moment. "...insults." Realization dawned on her face. "Oh. I guess that makes sense." Her hands started to fidget. Her attempt at happiness had failed.

"Did you actually think that those would be our names?" Todoroki chimed in a hint of frustration etched in his voice.

There was no response.

"Well, I'm Izuku Midoriya." After a pause, he started to wave his hands out in front of him frantically. "But honestly Deku totally works if you want, I mean that's my hero name anyway, so it's fine!"

The girl looked up, her violet eyes meeting his green ones. "I'm Vaila Setter. Nice to meet you."

She looked over to Todoroki, her eyes asking the question but her mouth too shy to move.

"Shoto Todoroki." He answered flatly, crossing his arms.

Kirishima stepped forward, proudly pointing to himself. "Eijiro Kirishima! And it just so happens, I'm the manliest one in the room!"

A small smile lifted on her face, nothing compared to the original energy she blasted in with. In a flash she looked at the clock on the wall, a bit of panic coursing through.

"Oh no I'm late!" She blasted back towards the door, turning around right before she left. "It was nice to meet all of you..."

And as mysteriously as she had arrived, she was gone.

"....so" Denki suaved up to Bakugou's chair leaning against it. "Who was that... Baki?"

In a swift motion fueled by anger Bakugou grabbed Denki by the jacket a seething hatred in his voice. "Say that again and I'll roast you so hard your face will melt!"

Denki backtracked almost immediately. "Okay okay I'm sorry I'm sorry!"

Bakugou released the now petrified boy and crossed his arms back over his chest.

"But dude, you know her right?" Kirishima probed, his question being promptly met with a scoff from Bakugou indicating his lack of desire to answer.

"Well, whoever she was, she certainly seems to be lacking for intellect." Todoroki crossed his arms and closed his eyes, his indifferent tone wafting over the group.

"I don't know..." Uraraka fidgeted with her feet, her tone sweet but concerned. "I mean she did get lost on the way to school today, just a few blocks short too..."

"SHUT THE HELL UP!" Bakugou's furious voice silenced the conversation. "Don't run your mouth on shit you don't understand!"

The room was silent.

As if he could no longer contain his anger, Bakugou grabbed his bag and angrily stood up from his seat, the chair squealing on the floor as he did so. The stillness remained in the room even as he left, slamming the classroom door behind him.

Concern marked Midoriya's soft features. "....Kachaan..."
