Forced into the Games

I was in my room listening to my music, when a maid that worked for my mom knocked on my door. She was lucky I wasn't listening with my music with my headphones on, or I wouldn't have heard her. I got off my bed to answer the door.

"Your highness, His and Her Majesty have summoned thee to the throne room," the maid aid when I opened the door, her bowing to me. I hate it when people do that. I nodded and she left.

I wonder what my parents want this time.

I turned my music off before heading out of my room and towards the throne room.

"Draco, honey, we have something to tell you," my mom said when I was standing in front of my mother and father as they sat in their thrones.

My mom, Queen Zora, has ed wavy hair and green eyes. She is a very stubborn person person, which is a good quality to have when you are a queen.

"Son, you are turning seventeen in two months, and you are going to be crowned king soon, but in order for you to become king," my father stated, "you need a wife."

"I know that, you didn't have to tell me," I say. "Did you only call me in here to tell me that?"

"No, we wanted to tell you that, we are putting you on The Love Games this summer."

"What?!"

"We signed you up to be on The Love Games and you have to do it because they already sent out the letters to the twenty-four girls you will be choosing from."

"And you didn't even think of asking me if I was okay with this?" I asked quite loudly, before running my hands through my dark black hair.

"Of course we didn't, darling, you would have just said that you didn't want to do it," my mother says.

"Draco, you are going to do it, and you are going to find yourself a wife. You are the Prince of Horcrunson and you need to become King. You're going on to the show and that's final," my father barked angrily.

"Fine, father, I'll do it, but don't expect me to be happy about it," i say before storming out of the throne room.

I hate being Prince. Why do I have to be married to become King?

When I got back to my room, I slammed my door shut and turned my music back on. I picked up my phone and went to the group conversation I had with Memphis and Randel, my two best friends. I've known Randel since I was four and he became my best friend because he was the only one who didn't care if I was the Prince or not.In fifth grade Randel and I met Memphis. We all became best friends and were almost inseparable. We hung out all the time. If one of us was sick, the other two would skip school and everything else to keep the other one company.

After the eighth grade, I was told that i wouldn't go to normal high school, I would become tutored with all the academics so that I could take classes on how to act like a prince. I wouldn't do it unless Memphis and Randel joined me, so we went on a little strike and our parents allowed us to all stay at the castle to get schooled. Memphis and Randel live in the castle still to this day. The three of us haven't been to real school for four years now, and we have actually miss it. I know crazy right.

Emergency! Skate park, ten minutes!

I didn't wait for a reply. I just changed into more appropriate clothes for the skatepark. Meaning jeans, t-shirt, skater shoes, and a beanie. I usually dressed like this, but my parents hate it so they will actually have someone choose my clothes and make sure I change into the selected clothes.
