Holy Guacamole

It just occured to me that I haven't uploaded for like a year. My deepest apologies. I have recently developed an urge to start writing again and therefore, please  be on the look out for weekly updates yay!

Enjoy chapter 5 :)

--------

My ears rang as the loud sound completely dazed me. It was a sharp repetitive pang that never gave up in my ears. Ellie gasped and covered her ears, though it didn't help much.

"Where is it coming from?" She shouted to no one in particular. I wanted to respond to her but the blaring sound in my head made it difficult to concentrate.

Inside my mind, pack wolves went crazy.

"Rogues!"

"Kill intruders!"

"Protect pups!"

"Kill everyone!"

The mingled growls and yips of the wolves became a cacophony pounding in my head. It drove one instinct : kill. I snarled a nice summary of my thoughts to Ellie. She cried out, confusion whirling around in her as she staggered towards the door. Just as she reached out to touch the handle, it swung open, almost hitting us in the face. A dozen Alphas streamed out of the pack house. They overwhelmed us, shifting in mid air as they went to face the conflict head on.

Ellie gasped as wolves rushed past her. She wanted her Pappy and Stepmomma. Her parents were nowhere in sight!

"Come with me," A deep voice said. A person grabbed Ellie's arm and sparks shot through our body. Mate! Mate was here! I knew I could trust mate!

"Mate's not rejecting us!" I howled at Ellie in excitement. Some of her fear disappeared. She gasped as she was dragged behind a large black van. The man who grabbed us stepped backward and into the light filling me with shock. Tiberian stood in front of us.

"Tiberian can't be our mate," Ellie whimpered through the mindlink to me. I shook my head. Everything that his wolf said made sense now. Sadness filled me and I whimpered. Mate didn't want us because Tiberian is engaged to Cora.

"I can't be your mate, Elise," Tiberian explained, holding his hands up as if nothing was his fault. That bitch messed up Ellie's name! I growled at him and Ellie's strong falsetto broke down. Her shoulders slumped under the gaze of Tiberian.

"Okay then," She whimpered, quietly. She looked down at her hands, "Are you," she hesitated for a second, swallowing hard, "rejecting me?"

I snarled at her words and then opened up the private mindlink. "Talk some sense into your human before I talk some sense into you!" I snarled at Tiberian's wolf.

Instantly, Tiberian's wolf responded, sending me a wide eyed puppy dog look. "You are so freaking cute!"

"Bitch!" I snarled at him and repeated myself. Tiberian's wolf nodded and a second later, Tiberian's eyes glazed over. He tilted his head to the side, communicating with his wolf. I only prayed that what I had said made some difference.

"I'm scared, Syn," Ellie whispered in my mind.

My hard wolf exterior softened at her words, "I know, Ellie. I don't want to be rejected either."

When mates reject eachother, feelings don't disappear. The bond between mates weakens, but never leaves for good. After effects of rejection were suffering, loopiness, craziness and then finally dumbness when the wolf lays down to die in a hole somewhere alone. It pretty much sucked and I could be as dramatic as I wanted about it because I knew how strongly mating affected wolves. Mother and Pappy broke up for that reason. It ruined my family.
