as minho slowly packed up his belongings, a sense of weariness washed over him. it had been a long, exhausting day at school, and the prospect of having to work on a project with jisung, the person he simply couldn't stand, only added to his frustration.

just as he zipped up his bag, jisung appeared, determined but apprehensive. minho couldn't help but roll his eyes at the sight of him.

"what do you want now, han?" minho grumbled, his annoyance evident in his voice.

jisung took a deep breath, steeling himself for their inevitable clash. "look, i know we don't get along. but we can't afford to fail this choreography project."

minho crossed his arms and scoffed. "we can't have a single conversation without it turning into an argument."

jisung bit his lip, his frustration matching minho's. "i get it. but we can't change the fact that we're stuck with each other on this project. we need to find a way to put our competitiveness aside, at least for a little while."

minho considered jisung's words for a moment, contemplating the consequences of their failure. reluctantly, he realized that pushing his ego aside might be the wiser decision. "fine, i'll agree to your plan, but don't expect us to suddenly become best friends. i'm not doing this for you; i'm doing it for my own sake."

jisung nodded, understanding the importance of their cooperation. "i'm not asking for friendship, minho. I just want to finish a project that's good enough to pass. we both need to put our animosity aside and focus on the task at hand."

a moment of awkward silence passed before minho sighed and grabbed his bag. "alright, give me your address. just make sure your family doesn't get in our way."

jisung's eyes brightened with a glimmer of relief as he fished his phone out of his pocket. "i'll text you all the details. let's meet tomorrow afternoon, around 3 PM."

with a begrudging nod, minho turned to leave. "yeah, fine. but don't think this means i actually like you."

jisung smirked, the tension momentarily diffusing. "likewise. let's just focus on getting this done, okay?"

as they parted ways, minho felt a mix of frustration and determination. the thought of having to spend time with jisung made his skin crawl, but the fear of failing the project pushed him to try. he knew that if they wanted to succeed, they had to find common ground, even if it was just fleeting cooperation.

with a heavy sigh, minho continued on his way, a small flicker of hope shining amidst the impending storm of working with jisung.

——

minho's heart beats slow as he raises his hand to knock on jisung's door, knuckles white from clutching his bag strap. his hand cane in contact with the door, knocking gently.

jisung opened the door a few seconds later, eyeing minho up and down before sighing. "you actually showed up?"

minho rolled his eyes, entering the modern home. he took off his shoes, catching jisung's gaze once he turned back around.

"can we just get this over with?"

jisung blinked, nodding quickly. "we'll use my room. my parents are going to be home soon."
he started walking go the stairs and minho shrugged, following jisung.

minho eyed the family portraits, the woman catching his gaze. "no siblings?" he questioned, trying for conversation instead of silence.

"no. only child. you?"

minho shook his head as jisung opened the bedroom door, closing it behind them. "just cats." he murmured, glancing around the spacious bedroom.

"alright. we'll get started." jisung walked over to his small speaker that rested on the dresser and loaded up the music.

they stood side by side, waiting for their section of the song to start. as it started, the two smoothly went through their choreography.

as jisung moved to hold minho's waist, he messed up the step. minho sighed, going over to restart the song. "we'll try again."

jisung messed up again. at the same part.

and again.

and again.

minho huffed angrily. "it's like you're messing up on purpose, han. it isn't difficult." jisung raised an eyebrow, fingers reaching out to grasp minho's hips in front of him.

"and if i am?"

minho gulped, genuinely caught off guard. "huh?" jisung cocked his head to the side, humming. "messing up on purpose. what if i am?"

minho chuckled. "just to hold me, hm?" the grip on his waist tightened, enough to leave bruising and minho felt like he couldn't breathe.

"yeah. so, let's try again. i'll get it right." jisung drops his hands from minho's hips, moving over to the speaker again. minho takes the few seconds to breathe and the music starts again.

they go through it smoothly, up until the part where jisung has to move up his arm and be too close to minho's face. jisung doesn't move away, and minho feels the hot breath on his face.

"han." minho warns, and jisung smirks lowly, eyebrow raising as he pulls back. "i'm not here to mess around. i want a good grade."

"we have the choreography down, lee. chill out a bit. i'm just having some fun." jisung pauses the music, flopping on his bed.

minho huffs. "fine. i'll get going then if we're done here." jisung stares at minho picking up his bag. "who said we're done here?"
