Chapter 1

"Come on Lukas, you lazy bitch, get your ass out here before we freeze to death!" a familiar voice said from the phone after I answer the random call. As I draw the blue curtains in my overly plain room, I see Quinn standing there with her arms folded looking at the window pointing at her wrist tell me to hurry up. She then decides to say that we are going to be late, even though I prefer to fashionably 'on time'. Don't judge me okay! 

Oh and by the way, if you haven't already guessed by now, my name is Lukas. And about Quinn, well I've known her all my life practically, since our parents used to be friends since their secondary school years, but after some fight they never talked again. Unfortunately for them, Quinn and I are joined at the hip and became my so-called-sister. She would always be there for me as I would be there for her. I remember when I was 13 and she was 14 and I was getting bullied by some assholes who were a little older than us, she then stood in front of me in between us both and make them all leave me alone, and it wasn't the first time she did that for me... and it would never be the last.

Anyways getting back to the now, I just brushed my teeth and made sure that I had everything that I needed and bolted down the stairs making the stairs roar from how much I was banging on them, only silence from them when I reached the bottom step, "where you off to in such a rush?" as I spun around from fright, my mum was there leaning against the wall looking at me with a little smirk on her face for scaring me, "Mum seriously, do you need to do that every morning when I get up?!" I said to her while I was trying to calm my heart rate.

"Yes I do, it is now a tradition in the house"

"A tradition that gives me a heart attack!"

"Yes, now tell me where you're off to in such a rush?"

"I'm heading out with everyone today, its freezing and-" suddenly there was a song of knocks coming from the front door, as I open it, Ava, Lilly, and Quinn were standing there shooting daggers at me since they have been standing there for a while, "What is taking you an hour to get ready?! We have been waiting for ages and I feel like my you-know-what's will be falling off in a second- oh... hi Jaquline." Ava said after her little rant when she saw my mum. "Hello Ava" she said waving and giving that smile that makes anyone uncomfortable.

"Well... anyways mum we are going to be off now, and I'll let you know when I'm on my way home" I said giving her a kiss on the cheek, she would murder me later if I didn't.

"What about breakfast dear?"

"I'll buy something for this idiot while we are out Jaquline" Quinn spoke up out of nowhere,

"Thank you Quinn, at least someone has some common sense" she said giving me a scolding look, I smile at her making her shake her head and sigh, "Go before you let all the heat out, and make me freeze too especially with this living crisis we have. Oh, and Quinn say hi to your mother for me, and let her know that we need to meet up soon... It's been too long" she said ushering all of us out with a little bit of a sad smile on her lips and then finally closing the door.

We all then rush towards the car trying not to trip up from the icy path but even then, Ava still manages to slip and nearly fall onto her back, all of us nearly did the same when we nearly fell over ourselves. We all jumped in, and Markus was there in the driver's seat "took you long enough" he said in a sarcastic tone of voice he usually has.

"Drive Markus you can kill Lukas afterwards but right now we need to get Eli as well" Quinn said after sitting next to him and putting her seatbelt on. "Fine, fine doing that now" He said surrendering and starts the car and drives down the road cautiously knowing that the roads are a little slippery today.

About 25 minutes later we arrive at Eli's house and surprise, surprise he is outside waiting tapping his foot and looking at his non-existent-wristwatch, after taking a while and sitting in the back, we all then drive around not knowing what to do. "So, what's on the agenda today then guys?" Eli asked,

"Not sure, we practically done everything in this village, there's nothing left to do" Ava said.

"I have an idea, how about we explore that old, abandoned house that no one has been in for decades, to be honest not even the council have bothered with it as they call it 'good for history on the area' like what the fuck," said Markus.

"Oh no... oh, nononononononono we are not exploring an abandoned house Markus, hard pass, that is the easiest and most obvious way of getting killed by some damn psychopath" I said shaking my head quickly making my brain spin that I was fully against it. But did that change anything? Of course not! They decide that we are going there against my will, I'm promising that if I die today and they live... I'm haunting them for the rest of their lives.

It takes about 40 minutes to reach the mossy, creepy and terrifying house that looks like its about to concave on itself at any moment from the lack of care it's received. When Markus finally parks the car and all but me decide to get out, I practically clawed myself to the seat not wanting to die today. "Serious Lukas, do you really have to be like this, its not that scary" said Quinn in a whining voice walking towards me.

"You will never get me out of this car alive!" I shouted. But she looked at me, opened the door and DING DING DING FIGHT! She was practically wrestling me to get me out of the car, I tried so damn hard, but this bitch knows now to distract me as she undoes my seatbelt and drags me out of the car even when I had my claws in the seats (sorry for ripping your car Markus, blame Quinn). I was on the floor repeating alright as I got up and dusted myself off from the dirt and so did she. I'm so murdering her later. She ruined the best clothes I had.

"Come on your two let's go" Eli said waving us forward "We might find something useful". With Quinn linking her arm with mine practically making sure that I was okay and not allowing me to run we all walked towards the house, surrounding it was a worn-down metal gate with those old gates that have those creepy patterns and pictures that you see in movies. Yeah, it's that level of creepy. As we all stood in front of the gate, we all looked around taking it all in even though there wasn't much. We saw that the gate was chained with a rusty padlock. "Bolt cutters?" Markus asked.

"Yeah, what else will need? Magic powers?" Lilly said slapping the back of Markus' head.

"OW! Okay geez, no need to get hostile" he said walking to the car grabbing the bolt cutters, he then cut the chain and pushed open the gate letting out a high-pitched creaking noise from the gate welcoming us in.
