Hello lovelies, and yeah, that break I took was quite long in my opinion, but it feels nice being able to rest either way, but let's not waste any more time, and enjoy!

I didn't realize until my eyes opened that I had passed out. My arms were still bound but it felt as if they were looser. I shifted around as I shook the sleepiness off. The pain in my thigh soon came back to me as I winced and looked down at it. The blood around the edges of the slash were already dried with small lines of dried blood running down my leg. Every small movement would cause the wound to burn with pain. Once I finally got a good look at it, I realized how long the gash was. It ran from the middle of my thigh to my upper thigh, stopping a few inches before my hip.

I felt my breathing stagger as I pulled against the ropes that bound my arms behind me and the ropes surprisingly loosened until I was able to slip an arm out and free both of my arms. It shocked me for one, because I could have sworn that when Akaza had tied them that the ropes were fairly tight. Could it be that they came loose while I was passed out or maybe they let them loose? Many thoughts flooded through my head, but I couldn't quite make up my mind.

I tried standing up but ended up falling over once I placed weight on my left leg. I tumbled to the floor, landing on my hands and knees as I sucked in a sharp breath at the searing pain that came from my thigh.

I took a few breaths before standing up again, I did wobble a little bit, but I managed to stand up, nonetheless. I made my way to the door that separated the room and the hallway that I was dragged down earlier. My steps were slow and painful, each movement my body made, the gash would feel like it was being stabbed again. Screw Douma for doing that. I was otherwise grateful that he actually put my shoulder back in its socket, but it was still sore. My hand reached out and grabbed the door as I pulled on it, it was unlocked.

This set off a lot of alarms in my head. It was very convenient that my binds were loose, and the door happened to be unlocked. Something didn't add up right, but I shook it off and focused on trying to get out of this place.

I peeked my head into the hallway and looked both ways. My head swung to the left, meeting nothing, but when I swung my head to the right the sound of footsteps flooded my ears. I quickly withdrew from the door as I quickly, yet quietly closed it, hoping that whoever I heard would go away and not notice me.

The footsteps got closer to the door, the sound of feet thudding against the wood floors made my skin crawl and I prayed that whoever was out there would walk past and not notice I had escaped my binds and was right inside the door. I placed both my hands over my mouth to hopefully silence my sporadic breathing and calm myself down before my cover was blown and who knows what would happen.

The footsteps soon got closer, and I could see the shadows of them from underneath the small crack under the door, they walked by slowly making my anticipation rise. I could feel my heart race as beads of sweat collected along the back of my neck.

After what felt like forever, the footsteps disappeared into a room not too far down the hallways from where I was. The sounding of a door opening and closing let me have a sigh of relief as I once again opened the door and peeked out. This time the coast was clear as I took a right from the door. I sprinted down the hallway as silently as I could hoping I could find the elevator. While I ran, I thought about whether I should use the elevator. It would draw more attention, and someone would likely notice that someone not authorized to, was using the elevator. I stopped in front of the elevator and looked left and right to hopefully find a staircase or something. My luck must have paid off as a fire escape staircase was just to the right of the elevator. I quickly got over to the door and swung it open as I went down the stairs.
