[5:01 p.m.]
It gives me the creeps every time I looked outside the window. How did it come to this? Sure, sometimes I wish there would be an apocalypse but I regret it now. This is so not cool.
"Are you alright?"
Napatingin ako sa kamay ni Jin na nakahawak sa akin.
"Sure, never been better?" I smiled weakly.
Ginulo niya lang ang buhok ko. Then he suddenly stopped the car making us bumped our heads.
"Hey! Bakit ba bigla bigla kang pepreno!!!"
"Sshhh!"
Nanahimik kaming lahat dahil napatingin kami sa tumambad sa amin. Ang napakagandang mall ng Devian, ngayon ay abandonado na at napapaligiran ng mga tao. Scratch that, dating mga tao. Yumuko kami para hindi mahalata ng mga zombie sa labas.
"Whose plan is this again?” Iritadong sbi ni Briana.
“Pwede ba Bri? Kung wala kang maitutulong manahimik ka na lang?”
Go kuya Klein, ang ever supladitong kuya ko.
“What will be our next move?” Tanong ni Jin.
Sandali kaming natahimik. Nagisip ang lahat.
“Distraction.”
Five heads turned at me.
“Do we need to split?”
“No!” Were only six. It’s not good na maghiwa-hiwalay pa kami. Umiling ako, naalala kong may inabot sa akin si Arvin na Pipe Bomb.
“We’ll distract them with this.”
Were now ready to kick some ass…
"I'll be the first. Mabilis naman ako tumakbo."
Hinawakan ni Jin ang kamay ko. Teka, napapansin ko lately nahihilig siya sa paghawak ng kamay huh. Hmmmmmmm..
"Let's just get it on, shall we?" Iritadong sabi ni LH. Atat na siguro makita ang kanyang tatay.
I breathed, then throw the bomb near the cluster of undeads. They all look at my direction but become busy getting the bomb. We all run single file towards the side entrance of the mall. Lahat ng madadaanan naming zombie eh pinapatay namin gamit ang mga second weapon. Parang left or dead lang.
Saktong sumabog ang bomba ng makapasok na kami sa loob. Kinalabit ako ni Cindy.
“E-em.. T-they’re looking at us..”
I looked and..
My mouth fell open.
There were about less than hundreds of them, standing and staring at us. Okay, this is not great, this is not..
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!”
Did we all just shout at the same time?!
Naramdaman ko na lang ang mga paa kong tumatakbo. Takbo kahit saan, kahit malayo basta takbo. Sabi ng utak ko. Lumilingon ako para makita kung magkakasama pa kaming anim pero sa tuwing lumilingon ako pakiramdam ko mas dumadami pa ang humahabol sa amin.
“There’s.. an… huh.. elevator.. to the right..” Hingal na sabi ni kuya.
Mas binilisan ko pang tumakbo para mapindot ang button. Good thing, may generator ang mall kaya may ilaw pa rin sa ilang bahagi nito at gumagana pa ang mga elevator. Nakapasok na kaming lahat bago pa makaabot yung sandamukal na zombie sa amin.

Sumabay pa si kuya Klein sa pagkanta..
“Fcking annoying!” sigaw ni Briana.
“What!? I liked it.” Asar naman ni kuya. Paguntugin ko tong dalawang to eh.
“Wait! Why are we going up?” Tanong ni LH, particularly to me.
“Nataranta kaya ako.”
TING
Pagbukas ng pinto..
“CLOSE IT!!! CLOSE IT!!!” Sigaw nilang lahat.
Oo sige, tarantahin niyo pa ako diba. I immediately push the close button but a zombie near the door held onto the middle of it. So alam niyo na ang nangyari diba? Bumukas nanaman yung pinto. They whacked all the dead heads trying to get inside. Matapos makipagbuno sa mga buttons ng elevator sumara na ang pinto leaving a foot.
“Eeeew.”
“That’s just gross.”
“I think I’m gonna be sick.”
Sabi naming mga babae. Ang mga lalake nanaman..
“That’s just cool pare.”
“Did you saw how I whacked them?”
“Awesome.”
Oo, nasiyahan pa sila diba. Napailing na lang ako. Feeling ko napakabagal ng oras dito sa elevator.
TING
It opened. We all felt a relief. Buti naman at walang zombie dito sa basement.
“Come on, dito.” Bulong samin ni LH.
Kabisado niya ang part na ito dahil lagi niyang dinadalaw ang father niya. May binuksan siyang pinto at tumambad ang isa nanamang elevator. May sinwipe siyang card at bumukas ito.
“What floor?” I asked.
“25th.”
Okay.. Twenty--
“25th!?” We all shouted. I looked at the buttons and yes it has 25 floors. The hell?
“Bakit gulat na gulat kayo?”
Sino bang hindi magugulat? Ikaw kaya sumakay ka sa isang elevator sa basement ng isang mall at bumaba sa pang dalawamput limang palapag. Hindi ka magugulat?
“Guys, do we--“Asked Cindy out of nowhere.
“Yes we need to do this and get the fck out of here.” Sagot ni Jin.
May kung anong masamang pakiramdam ang bumabagabag sa akin. Parang may mali eh. Parang may masamang mangyayari.
Meantime, somewhere deep in the dark
“Sir, the process is complete.”
The lab doctor smiled. His eyes are full of secrets, deep dark secrets.
“Let’s test the mutant.”
They all went outside and watched behind the glass as the “mutant” raised its head. It bares its sharp uneven teeth. It’s eyes full of misery and hatred.
“Mission: Extermination. Begin.”
The mutant growled. Loud and deep.

“Did you hear that?” Tanong ko sa kanila.
“Em, don’t scare us. This place already scares the shit out of me.” Sagot ni Briana sakin.
I really heard something, loud and deep.
