on this late august afternoon, the sun bathed the car in a warm, golden light as y/n and connie drove down a tree-line road towards princeton.

y/n sat in the passenger seat of connie's black range rover, watching him drive and maneuver the steering wheel with his left hand in the hottest possible way.

"nice car." y/n complimented connie, liking the all black interior and his leather seats. it was very clean, and it smelled fresh mixed with his perfume y/n had quickly grown to like.

"appreciate it. spent my whole savings on this baby." he said, tapping the car's dashboard.

y/n let out a small chuckle.

his right arm then reached for the audio system, turning the song first person shooter by drake and j. cole down by a few notches before resting his elbow back on the arm rest.

"what you majoring in?" he asked, his eyes still on the road.

"psychology."

"m'not even shocked." he said, stopping at the red light. connie then turned to stare at her. "it just..." he paused, staring deep into her eyes. "... fits."

y/n broke eye contact first, realizing the heat developing itself deep in the pit of her stomach was arousal. "and how am i supposed to take that?"

"as a compliment, it suits you." he clarified with a chuckle.

the light switched to green, and connie's eyes were back on the road. y/n turned her gaze to the open window, trying to stop herself from squealing.

she cleared her throat, turning back around. "what about you?"

connie sighed. "neuroscience."

y/n's eyes nearly popped out of her skull. she wasn't expecting that answer.

"holy— okay well, now i'm definitely shocked." y/n laughed, the man then laughing with her too.

"yeah... i ain't think i'd be going down that road either. i was lazy as fuck as a kid— still is too... now i'm over here studying to be a doctor."
