Short Story 1

I've always wondered what was behind that door. Well, now I know. Oh, yeah, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Regmund Atlas, and I am 12. Though I am 12, I am one of the most outstanding mages of my faction, the Light Faction. There are five factions, Light, Shadow, Fire, Earth, and Water. These five factions are rivals of eachother and each is devoted to their namesake's element. Of course, I am a light mage. In the academy, we had learned everything from love potions to death spells. We, of course, learned about light magic and how to hate the other elements. We were allowed to explore the academy to our heart's content, but we couldn't open the door, THE DOOR. This door looked normal, but we all knew it held something forbidden. The feelings it gave off didn't feel good.

This all happened on a nice morning. I was half-awake when I woke up, and I was looking for the library to check out if they had Magnosum Corea, a book about old magic. Though old magic is outdated, a project I had in class was to figure out what would the spell "Magunus Tosa" would do. We could easily see if we studied old magic. Old magic always sounded like "Magonum Soapa" or whatever, but new magic is easier to remember such as the bubble spell, "Bubbly Dragon." A new spell is made of what the spell summons and then a magical creature such as a Unicorn or Dragon, to name a few. Old magic, however, was a different case, and I was still figuring out what the old magic deciphered to.

The library, by the way, is unfortunately next to THE DOOR.

I think you can guess what happened.

Anyways, if you need me to say it, I opened the wrong door. Simple as that. Suddenly, shadows came rushing out of this door and one particular creature of Shadow Element, I think its a "Werewolf," burst out and spoke to me.

"Thank you, friend. You have set me free! Now I can destroy the world!" the werewolf rasped.

Gulp! I think this is going to be a hard school year...
