choices ... is all that matters ?

MORNING 7:30am in Oriyando

"Wake up, Ella! It's nearly time for you to leave"

I heard a voice, so familiar. I slowly opened my eyes and saw my mom staring at me. She saw me opening my eyes and she got nearer and sat in the edge of my bed.

"Get up! Ella. It's really important for you to get ready fast as today is your big day." She said. I slowly got up rubbing my eyes. I took a at my watch and said "Mom! Its only 6:30 and I don't want to leave so fast. You said that I would leave for NEW YORK only after 10 am, so why are you waking me this early?"

She came closer to me and kept her hand on my face and said," honey, you know how your father is. It's just that he wants to council you and give some advice." I just got frustrated and I stood up. My dad is not like a normal dad, he wants everything to be perfect. So what if I'm a princess, I too have some human rights. He is always so concerned and I hate it. "Not again, he already made me listen so much last night. What's the use of listening to his boring lectures mom and how could call them advice when the truth is they aren't advice moreover they are like his rules. He says DON'T DO THIS, DON'T DO THAT. Do I even have a life of my own?" I screamed and looked at my mom.

"Gabriella, you're his daughter and he has the right to warn you before its too late. Look your brother, Nicholas is much smarter and he can handle himself so your father trusts Nicholas and you are only 16. Just have faith on him; he doesn't want you to get hurt. That's all" she said and took some steps back looking all worried. I don't like my mom getting worried and I don't even like getting into troubles."Mom!" I looked at "you are right I guess that's all. Okay, I will talk to him. Just give some time to get fresh and I will come down". I saw a smile in my mom's face and suddenly she brightened up fast. "You sure? Dear" she said. I nodded and I headed to my bathroom getting all clumsy. She closed my door and called one of our maids to help me get done fast. "No need Mom! I will fast as possible I promise" I screamed.

I was not brought up in Oriyando, maybe that's why I'm not used to my dad. My mom and I used to live in New York until I became 9 and we had to come here as my grandfather passed away and all the responsibility came on my father's soldier. My father is not that satisfied with me and my behavior, he says that I don't have any moral values that should be in a princess. I guess he is right because I am not suitable to be a princess, that's why I have planned to go back to New York today and stay there. I want to prove my father that I, Gabriella Princip Phillip Jersey the royal princess of Oriyando and the heiress to Ferdinand Princip Phillip Jersey, can be independent and go to the right path herself. I know that I am being to childish but I guess that's the only way to get away from him for a while so NEW YORK CITY,
