Chapter Seven Truth

The next morning I woke up tired and sore I notice I'd been cleaned up but I was still naked. My face heated up in embarrassment. I look down and see Winston's mark, his is on my left breast.   a sleeping tiger curled up comfy. I smile then noticed everyone is in the bed, I get up and dig through my bag and find a dress. I didn't even pay attention to the pattern I quickly pulled it on and a pair of underwear. I leave the room quickly and get to the sand pit outside. Afterwards I notice I forgot to put on shoes.

"I'm having a terrible morning.." I grumble to myself as I walk back inside. I notice everyone is still asleep. So I decide to make breakfast for everyone I pull eggs, sausage patties, and English muffins out of my bag.

I use a long grill lighter and light the stove. I pull out pans, a baking sheet, a bread knife, and a spatula. Once the stove is hot I put the pans on top to heat up I mix the eggs in a mixing bowl and add milk from a clay pot of pasteurized milk add shredded cheese. And add a small amount of cooking oil to the pan and add the egg mixture, then I place the patties in the other pan. I cut open the muffins an put on the baking sheet and place them in the oven to toast.

I use the wooden spatula to flip the patties and mix the eggs. Pull out out my phone and check them time which seems to have synced up with this world. '7:00am? Also the battery doesn't seem to be draining at all.'

I think to myself I put my phone down and grab my oven mitt

and open the oven pulling out the muffins.

I set them on the counter then I line up the plates and with practiced ease and flip the three patties onto four plates then portion eggs too.

Finally I butter the English muffins and set them on the plates and get out the forks.

When I finished, I feel arms wrap around my waist "what are you doing, Wifey?"

I turn around and see Curtis hugging me and Winston and Harvey exiting the bedroom sleepy and confused.

"I was hungry so.. I'm cooked breakfast?" I ask confused and not understanding why they're giving me weird looks weird. "wifey, here if you're hungry, you wake your mates." Curtis informs me  "oh.. well.. you were sleeping and I know how to cook... and its done any way lets sit down." they look between each other uncomfortably they finally comply.

The three of them sit uncomfortably, When I finally sit I smile "bon appetite."

we eat together and they seem to get over their issue

when we finish eating all the men look increasingly uncomfortable I take a drink of my orange juice and set it down 'clearly I was wrong.' "Okay, what's the problem?" I ask slightly annoyed

Harvey speaks up "Fae, you're suppose to depend on us to meet your needs. We are feeling inadequate."

 I take a breath "Okay, full disclosure. I'm not from here." I say as I look all of them in the eye "so, you need to tell me these things, I didn't know this would be such a big deal. Knowing now that it hurts your feelings, I will ask you from now on."

they nod happy that I'm taking their feeling into account so they don't feel this way again.

"My bag is able to pull things from my world packaged like they belong in this one. There is no bottom to my bag so I can fit anything inside and pull out anything I can imagine." Harvey and Curtis already know, but Winston looks up with interest.

"but I wanted to test and see If you can also pull things out of the bag."

Curtis tries, but is unable to pull anything out. He looks disappointed "Okay try to get my hair brush."

he reaches in and manages to pull out the brush. "Okay now try to get a stone fruit out of the bag."

he reaches in and pulls out his empty hand.

"Okay it looks like it only works for you when you've seen me pull something from the bag." he nods and I decide to move on.

"this is my cell phone and it's battery doesn't seem to run out. With it I can listen to music, take pictures and look up information from my world. Also your world is a story in mine." I pull up the comic I downloaded and show Winston.

He looks shocked, not that I blame him

"God, brought me here and I chose you, as well as a few others we haven' t found yet, to be my mates. You all ended up miserable in the story, Also this city will fall soon so we will need to find a place to live before the fall out" they seem to understand

"I want to eventually go back to my world, but I want to take you all with me."

Winston looks at me thoughtfully before asking

"So you're not a snake female?" I think about it for a moment

"well, females in my family have been able to speak to snakes, but it skips a generation. So maybe one of my early ancestors came from here. Which would explain why I can. So lets just go with yes I am a snake female."

they seem to accept my explanation.

"Since we have determined that the female lead is here. I should be able to accurately determine when the city will fall, but I'm not sure if I've changed to much with stealing you three from her story line. I don't know to try to befriend her since she causes a lot of problems stemming from her naivety. Though it could be helpful even beneficial in the long term. I'll need to weigh to the pros and cons of such actions.." I trail off

'Pros: knowledge, able to plan better if I get closer, might be able steer the ship wreck..'

'Cons: getting caught in the cross fire of her drama..'

'only one Con, but it's pretty big..' I look up at my mates 'two tetra marked to her one.. I'm going to need more mates If I plan to get close to her.'

I nod decision made get more protection before I approach her.

I'm pulled from my thoughts by Zippy calling me for help I run into the cub's room to see his eyes clouded over and he's lost in the corner of the bedroom. "oh, poor Zippy. I'm here buddy." I say as I pick him up I walk to my bag and pull out his pool and special rock "Winston, fill this half way with warm water."

he takes it and runs off Curtis looks grumpy in our direction from the couch I walk into the cub room with Zippy and ignore Curtis as I continue doting on Zippy "it's okay buddy I'll help you out." I tell him soothingly as Winston comes back I place the pool on the floor and test the water before I set zippy in. I add his rock after his shed has softened and he starts rubbing against it I sit next to him on the floor and wait till he asks for help.

Curtis pov

I watch her dote on her pet feeling insanely jealous. I wonder if she'd help me with my next shed.. I imagine it's me she's helping. After a while they've finished. She walks out holding him and I look at his revealed scales looking brighter and more attractive. Irritated I look at mine feeling more frustrated with the situation I decide to leave to go hunt and relieve this frustration I kiss Fae goodbye like she requests and exit the house.

Winston pov

anyone looking at Curtis would know what he was feeling. Foolish for a mate to be jealous of a pet. I look at Fae's happy face as she talks to her pet. I have no idea what they're saying, but I don't need to. she's happy and that's enough.

Harvey's pov

after Curtis leaves I heat the stone stove.

While he may be upset at the moment, but he won't be gone long.

Knowing our mate will be hungry soon.

Normal pov

Curtis comes back not too long after leaving and gives his cleaned catch to Harvey who immediately begins preparing it.

I relax on the couch laying on Winston's lap as I double check the story line.

Before I know it dinner is done Harvey made a stew with all my favorite vegetables. after we finish eating I make my way to bed as Winston clears the table.

I fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow.
