A/N - I'm alive 🫡🫡~~~

Marco
┗━━━✦❘༻༺❘✦━━━┛It wasn't often I dwelled on something for more than a few hours.
I wasn't the type to do so, and it was rare for me to allow things to get under my skin or invade my thoughts. Yet the occurrences of the other night had been on replay, driving me insane for every waking moment.
I'd merely believed I was asking Aniyah to end her...gossiping, but I'd managed to offend her somewhere along the way- I was still convinced I'd done nothing wrong.
She'd looked at me as if I was the filth under her high heels, and I may or may not have regarded her in the same manner when she told me not to flatter myself.
Nobody spoke to me in such a manner and didn't receive a bullet between the eyes, but apparently she wasn't on the same wavelength as the rest of the scum.
Alas, I'd meant what I'd said two nights ago- the only reason I was affiliated with the Wright family in the first place was for business and business only, anyone who believed any different was nothing but a fool.
It was Isabella's nineteenth birthday today, and instead of joining everyone else inside with the celebrations, I'd been sitting in my Porsche outside of my cousins' house for who knows how long and being pestered by my mind. My brothers had all made their own ways here: Milo in his Mercedes, Zeke in his Audi, and Eli on his death trap of a bike, all three vehicles in my peripheral vision currently.
I simply needed to rid my head of thoughts of Aniyah and focus on spending time with my family- an easy task if you asked me.

"You're actually old, you'll be twenty next year", Eli pulled our poor cousin into a headlock, Isabella just groaned and tried to shove him off which only looked comical due to their height difference.
"So will you", she scowled at him, returning most of her attention back to her boyfriend once Eli had let go, "how do you live with him?".
"It's a daily struggle", I muttered, sipping my black coffee hesitantly- I'd much rather do a shot of bleach at this point, "where's Zane?".
"Where do you think?", Caleb mused. So he was infatuated with Phoenix, nothing new there; in fact almost all of my cousins were glued to their significant others, excluding Caleb who was the only one to remain single.
At least one of them had their heads screwed on tightly.
"Are we gonna ignore the huge elephant in the room?", Xavier jumped off the counter, looking at us all in disbelief before his shocked gaze settled on my twenty-five year old brother, "where the fuck is your hair?".
I closed my eyes in exasperation, recalling the exact moment this morning when Emiliano had entered the kitchen- completely and utterly bald. I'd rubbed my eyes a good seven times before realising it wasn't a lack of sleep that was tainting my vision.
"I'm trying something new", he shrugged, smoothing a hand over his head and grinning, "nearly gave Marco a heart attack".
Nothing new there.
"He looks like an egg", Eli snorted, "you'll never catch me cutting off my beautiful locks".
"I nearly have a heart attack every time Ezra gives himself a buzzcut", Izzy laughed, adjusting the silver crown that sat on top of her head, paired with the sash that read 'birthday girl' and a black dress. Despite their different eye colours, she had a striking resemblance to her eldest brother.
