"Ow! Nori!" Khan wailed as a chunk of ice suddenly mauled him straight in the face. Hiding behind a tree, (and giggling like a ruthless psycho) was a dark haired robot, about 3 1/5 feet tall with bright purple eyes. She snickered and picked a ball of snow from the ground, to which was covered in a white sheet of snow that looked like a cloud.
"Nori!" Khan repeated, wiping snow off his blue jacket, "That wasn't snow you threw at me, you jerk! That was a chunk of ice."
"Pshht-" Nori rolled her eyes like he just said something stupid. "It's not like it's going to kill you. Big baby."
Khan scoffed, "Big baby?! You're the one who's half a foot shorter than me!" To which Nori gasped dramatically. Khan continued, "You know, I really don't appreciate when your mean to me-"
He was interrupted by another ball of snow hitting his head aggressively. Nori laughed and prepared to run before she was hit in the back by a snowball the size of a hand.
"Yeah!" Khan snickered, putting his hands on his hips, "Your not the only one who can throw a snowball-"
He was then also botched by a snowball. He tried to appear mad, as he was cut off, but the two quickly broke out into combined laughter. Nori scooped a ball of ice from the ground and chucked it at the other. Khan did the same, and before they knew it, it was a full on snowball fight.
"Holy-" Khan wheezed as he ran through the trees with a snowball in his hands, desperately zipping over logs and under trees in an attempt to outrun the practical beast that was chasing him with about 5 snowballs in her arms. Nori was fast, too fast for her age, and Khan could only run for so long. He had a D in physical education. Nori had an A.
"Run faster!" Nori laughed as she chucked a ball of snow at Khans head, sending him tripping forward but still somehow on his feet. The only snowball khan held was sent flying into a tree, forever lost. "You're so slow! Who's your teacher in Pe, Monty the turtle?"
"Are you serious?!" The male robot laughed, still running for his life. "How are you so fast?! I'm running at a normal pace!"
"I'm just special! Being fast was what made you popular in 2nd grade, so obviously I'm fast. Everyone loves me!"
Khan laughed as he sprinted down a hill, "Then how come nobody knows who you are?! They call you the weird purple thing for a reason! Your kooky and insane!"
A ball of ice bashed him in the back and khan was sent flying down the steep hill. Nori tripped after throwing it so hard and they were both sent tumbling down the slide of snow, laughing all the way down. The two slid down the hill and eventually stopped at the edge of a frozen lake.
Khan wheezed, clearly out of breath, and sat up. He shook the snow off his jacket and fixed his glasses, then looked around. No sign of Nori.
"Nori?" Khan called, more confused than worried. He was just with her. Where could she have gone?
"Nori!" He called again, a little more concerned. He found his footing and stood up, looking around a little more. It's like she just vanished.
"Khan!" The familiar voice suddenly made him jump out of his skin (metal?) and he turned around.
"Down here, stupid." Nori snickered, making khan look down and pause. Nori was practically trapped under a blanket of snow. She poked her head out of the sheet of white that held her captive and laughed. "I think I fell into a hole. This thing is, like 5 feet deep. I'm not even touching the ground."
"BAHAH-" Khan cackled, falling back and sprawling onto the snow. Nori frowned, "It's certainly not funny! I can't even move! Help me out! Help! I'm literally stuck."
"Yeah, okay whatever." Khan rolled his eyes and snickered. "Actually? I'm just gonna go."
"What?!" The other shrieked, trying to wriggle out of her snow prison. "You can't leave me here, you snake! Help me!" She wailed, giving up and throwing her head back in utter despair.
"Ugh, fine. Aren't you stronger than me? Get out yourself." Khan said as he began digging around the female robot, to which she replied, "This stuff is thick. Take my hand and pull me out."
So she extended her hand and khan pulled her out. It took quite the effort, but finally, the two fell back into the snow and sighed.
It was silent for a few moments before khan went, "Your surprisingly light for being a hunk of metal."
"Thanks? Couldn't say the same for you though. Remember when I tried to carry you?" Nori chuckled as she ran her hands through her purple hair in an attempt to fix it. Khan scoffed, "Wow, okay. I see the Mutual respect here. Real nice of you."
"Aw come on! It was funny." She shrugged, standing up and fixing her black dress. She extended her hand out to the other and grinned, "Are we gonna sit here all day or are we gonna attempt to ice skate on this frozen lake?"
Khan smiled and took her hand. What he immediately noticed was that her grasp was firm and strong, meanwhile his grasp was soft and light. She helped him to his feet and snickered, "It's almost sunrise, we have to hurry or else my pa will be mad!"
"Wait wait wait-" Khan stopped her and blinked, "Your actually trying to ice skate on that thing?"
"Yeah? It'll be fun! Don't tell me you're a chicken." She chuckled, to which the other stood up straighter and shook his head.
"I am most certainly not a chicken! I just.. Don't think it's safe to walk all over a frozen lake. I mean, what if it breaks?! What if the ice breaks?! What if we fall in?! And-"
He was interrupted by a snowball in the back of the head. He groaned and said, "By Jove, will you cut that out?"
Nori snickered and took his hand. She led him to the frozen lake and beamed, "It'll be fine! Come on! We have a little more time left, let's go! Come on, come on!"
"Okay! I'm coming! Jeez!" Khan sighed, shaking his head and smiling in defeat. "You sure are kooky and insane."
"Yeah?" She said, raising an eyebrow, "Maybe I prefer it that way."
The two laughed and skipped onto the ice as the sun on copper nine rose, the two only focused on the company of each other. And maybe they'd rather have that.
