Chapter 4: Supply and Demand

Day 1
Grayson drives him and the crew through the forest and up a hill
They arrived at the top and set up camp there
The six get out of the car and observe their surroundings
Malaya gets shivers down her spine
Malaya crosses her arms as her shoulders tense up
Malaya: God, I hate this place...
Grayson lays a hand on Malayas shoulder as she smiles
Strange noise ambiance can be heard in the distance
The whole group gets chills
Foxy: Argh! This place be scarier than the Pizzeria itself!
Ash: I'll say. The longer I stay here, the more bad I feel that Loona, Tex, May and Gray had to go here in the first place
Beach Lopunny crosses her arms
Beach Lopunny: Never thought a tourist attraction could be so unsettling.
Vortex: Come on, guys. We gotta keep our heads up. We can do this!
The other five turn to Vortex and smile
Grayson: Tex is right. We need to prepare for the night. Everyone, split into pairs of two. We need to cover as much ground as possible. I'll be with Malaya, Ash will stick with Lo, and Tex and Foxy will be together. Everyone good?
The group nods and smiles
Grayson: Alright. Make sure your back before the sun goes down.
Grayson directs the two other pairs to the left and right as him and Malaya went back down the hill
Ash pulls out her heavy machine gun and loads it, ready to fire, pointing it in front of her
Beach Lopunny: Think we'll find him?
Ash: I doubt it. Grayson had told me in the past what went down here. He mentioned that Bigfoot really only attacks at night. He uses the daylight hours to wander around and set up traps
Beach Lopunny: Traps?! How smart is this thing? I thought he was supposed to be some kind of relative to monkeys
Ash hold back laughter
Ash: *voice cracking because of the laughter* What?
The two burst out laughing, continuing to make jokes about Bigfoot, not realizing how good his hearing is...
The two continue to wander when they spot something through the trees
Ash: Wait, what's that?
Beach Lopunny looks ahead
Beach Lopunny: Some kind of wooden watch tower thing?
The two walk up to it and climb it
They find a Sniper Rifle, Health Pack, Tracking Bullets, and another kind of bullet Beach Lopunny doesn't recognize
Beach Lopunny picks it up between her fingers
Beach Lopunny: What's this for?
Ash: That's for a Flare Gun. Grayson said that he found a note last time he was here in a camper that explained that flares can scare away Bigfoot if he is shot with one
Beach Lopunny: Ooh! Sounds handy
Ash nods as they collect the supplies
They glance at the sun
Night is falling fast
They quickly make it back to the camper
Foxy and Vortex explore the left side
Vortex: Keep your guard up, Foxy. Bigfoot can attack at any moment, but also be on the lookout for resources
Foxy: Aye aye! A captain never lets his guard down Yar Har Har!! We be always keepin a lookout for booty!
Vortex tried hard to hold back his laughter
He knew what Foxy meant, but it of context? That could be bad...😅😂
Foxy notices the silence and instantly clarifies
Foxy: Err....I do be meaning treasure, don't ya know?
Vortex: I know, man😂 But you can see how that could be taking out of context *chuckles*
Foxy chuckles as well
Foxy: What be context?
Vortex and Foxy go on, Vortex admiring Foxys "pirate talk" until they find something
Vortex: Hmm...what's that? Some kind of....pole?
Foxy: Yar! I be having no idea, lad.
The two walk up to the pair of poles and suddenly it clicks into Vortexs head what it is
Vortex: Is this a zip line?? Cool.
Foxy inspects the zip line
Foxy: I feel like I be seeing this somewhere before
Vortex: Wouldn't be surprised. I can imagine you on a zip line. I think you'd like it.
Foxy: Yar! How does one be using this "zip line" of yours? It do be looking mighty dangerous...
Foxy pulls out his sword and points it forward at the other side of the cliff where the zip line ends
Foxy: ...just how I like it! Yar Har Har!
Vortex: Usually there's some...
Vortex looks around and finds harnesses to use the zip line hooked to one of the poles of it
Vortex: Ah! Here they are!
Vortex picks up the harnesses and shows Foxy how to put it on and clips him and Foxy on the zip line
Foxy: Ok, so what be happening now?
Vortex: Now...
Vortex jumps off and glides down the zip line
Vortex: *while he's going down* You jump!
Foxy smiles
Foxy: Yo ho ho! This be looking wicked! I be right behind ya, sailor!
Foxy jumps and has a blast on the way down
The two get to the other side
Foxy: Yar! That be a blast!
Vortex: *chuckles* Thought you might like it
Foxy and Vortex took their harnesses off and clip them onto the poles as they continue on
They come across a big house
They walk in and find traps, meat, a crow bar, an Axe, and a Flare Gun Bullet on the first floor
On the second floor, they don't find much, but they discover a safe hidden in a closet
Vortex pulls it out and sees they need a four digit code
Vortex: Look around for the code, Foxy
Foxy salutes Vortex
Foxy: Aye aye!
Foxy runs off, searching the house
Before long, Foxy finds the note in a fridge and brings it back to Vortex
Foxy: Yar! The code be 2694
Vortex puts it in and opens it
The two look inside and are very happy to find 3 sticks of dynamite with a detonator, a heavy Sniper rifle, and a Grenade
Foxy: Yo ho! We hit the jackpot, lad!
Vortex: We sure did, captain😉 Let's haul it back to camp
Foxy: Yar!
Vortex and Foxy grab the stuff and head back to the camp
Grayson and Malaya head down the hill
Malaya: This place gives me the creeps
Grayson smiles and puts his arm around May
Grayson: Don't worry, May. I'll be right here to protect you
Malaya smiles and squeezes Grayson
Malaya: Thanks, Gray. You're amazing
Grayson: So are you😉
The two smile at each other until the hear a wood thumping sound
Grayson: What is that??
Malaya: No idea. Is Bigfoot building something?
Grayson: Oh, yeah! It could be on if his traps!
Grayson listens to where the sound is coming from
Grayson: It sounds like it's coming from over there!
Grayson points to the left as they head there, traveling through some bushes and trees
They noise is getting noticeably louder
They stop at the end of the bushes and trees
About 50 feet ahead of them is Bigfoot setting up a trap in a tree
Malaya: Should we attack?
Grayson: Probably should wait for the others. This guy hits hard
Bigfoot finishes his trap and starts walking away
Grayson: But we could see where he goes
Malaya nods as the two silently follow Bigfoot
They follow him to an open clearing with a swamp in the middle
They watch as Bigfoot goes to the middle of the Swamp and rests in some trees
Malaya: This isn't where he lives, is it?
Grayson: I don't think so. Pretty sure he has a cave. This is probably just an easier spot to get to so he can take an easy nap
Malaya: Ah, makes sense. So what now?
Grayson: Well, there doesn't seem to be much here.
Grayson looks up
The sun is going down
Grayson: Let's disable his trap and head back to the camp
Malaya agrees and they head back to the trap Bigfoot made
Grayson: Pretty crafty, Bigfoot
Grayson pulls out his Wolf Knife and cuts a rope that was supposed to pull the victim up into the air and impale their leg
The two head back to camp
All pairs get to the camp around the same time
Grayson: What were your findings, everyone?
Ash: Beach Lopunny and I find a wooden watchtower looking structure with a Sniper Rifle, Health Pack, Tracking Bullets, and a Flare Gun Bullet
Grayson: Ooh! Very nice haul, you two😊
The two girls smile and Grayson and gives him a thumbs up
Grayson points to Vortex and Foxy
Grayson: What about you two?
Foxy: Yar! We be finding a heavy Sniper Rifle, 3 sticks of dynamite, and a Grenade. Not as mighty as a Captain's sword, but Yar, It'll do.
The group chuckles
Grayson: Nice work👍
Vortex gives a thumbs up
Foxy: Yar! Thank ye, sailor. What be you two finding?
Grayson: Oh! Malaya and I didn't find any supplies, but we saw Bigfoot
Ash: Oh really? What was he doing?
Malaya: He was building a trap on a tree. We followed him to a Swamp that he just rested in. We cut down his trap and then headed back
Beach Lopunny: Oh well that's still helpful
Grayson: Heh, thanks Lo
Beach Lopunny and Grayson smile at each other
Vortex: It'll be dark soon
Foxy: Aye! I be awaiting for this "Bigfoots" arrival!
Foxy pulls out his sword and let's out a hearty pirate laugh
The group loads up and gets ready for their stand as the moon comes up
