The next morning, Athena walked downstairs, seeing her two kids at the table...
"Morning, everyone." Athena said.
"You want a waffle?" Michael asked.
Athena ignored him, going into the fridge. Athena grabbed a cup from the cupboard and poured herself some coffee, hearing her two kids whispering.
"Uh-huh. No whispering at the table. You got something to say; just speak up." Athena said.
"Would it be okay if only one of you guys came to family day at school tomorrow?" Asked Harry.
"Well, why would we do that?" Athena asked.
"Because you can't stand being in the same room together anyway. It makes everyone uncomfortable." May tells them.
"Are you getting a divorce?" Harry asked.
"Of course not, sweetheart." Athena said.
"You're lying." May says.
"Hey, watch your mouth." Michael tells May.
"Married people have problems all the time." Athena said.
"But you two never fight or argue unless it's something really bad." Harry tells them.
"I want to tell them." Said Michael.
"Michael." Athena says.
"My therapist said tell them when they're ready." Michael says.
"Well... well, I'm saying that I'm not ready." Athena tells Michael.
"Come here." Michael murmured, holding onto May and Harry's hands.
"Kids, your dad has been struggling with something his entire life. With the courage I get from being your dad, the way that you love me and see me..." Michael said.
"Please." Athena said.
"I feel strong enough to be honest about it. I'm gay." Said Michael.
"So you are getting a divorce." Harry muttered.
"No, no, sweetheart. We're not even talking about that." Michael says.
May takes her hand back, putting it in her lap.
"May, baby, y... your dad just told me a couple of weeks ago." Athena tells May.
"The grandmas are gonna whisper about us in church now. And the kids at school are gonna find out and maybe beat Harry and I up about it."
