Act 2

"I'm not doing it" Itto quickly answered, Takuya sighed "Come on Itto, I need you on my side during this" he whined, Itto shook his head "Sorry, I'm not coming to the dance" he persisted. Takuya groaned "Why not?" he whined.

Itto sighed once again "I don't want anymore fighting happening, I just don't think violence is right" he explained defensively. Takuya wrapped his arm over his shoulders "Aw come on, this will be just a way to you know... settle things" Takuya with a hint of tweaking in his voice.

Itto frowned at his words "With more violence?" he asked, leaving Takuya stunned "Uuhhh" he trailed off "Sorry, still no" Itto replied "Well, why not just go to the dance for the fun of it, huh?" Takuya finally suggested, surprisingly Itto perked up "For fun, huh?" he said.

Takuya nodded "Yep" Ittos eyes wandered to the distance, he took his time to properly think. He sighs "Alright, I guess it couldn't hurt" he said. Takuya perked up "Really?!" Itto chuckled at his reaction. They lock hands in a shake "I'll be there at around 8" Itto announced.

Takuya nodded in approval and patted his shoulder "I'll see you there pal" he said as he stood up and left. Itto shook his head with a smile as he walked away, "I'm not so sure it's a good idea to be hanging out with them" a human elderly woman spoke.

Itto slightly chuckled "I get you're worried Granny Oni. But I know he means well" he said with a small shrug "He's just looking out for all the other oni's" he continued. Granny Oni sighed while shaking her head "Itto, you two are close friends but I worry how his influence will affect you" she said with concern.

Itto nodded, slightly agreeing with her "So, you decide to go to the dance for the fun of it, huh?" Granny oni spoke with slight snark, Itto let out a little laugh "Well, that's only PART of the reason of why I agreed" he explained. Granny Oni perked up "Oh? There's more on why you're going to the dance?" she asked

Itto nodded "Well, tell me. What is it?" she asked. Ittos eyes wandered lost in thought "Well, recently I've been having this feeling that something big will happen" he started, Granny Oni seemed intrigued "Like what?" she asked "I don't know. I know it's gonna be amazing"

Granny Oni slightly smiled "I see. Well, When you get to the dance I hope you find that amazing thing you're searching for" she said sweetly

"Come on guys, I seriously don't want to go" Shelby whined, Quiana rolled her eyes as she pulled back the needle with thread connected to it "Believe me Shelby I don't want to go to the dance either but we gotta do it since Shenhe is making us" she said.

Shelby paced back and forth "And another thing that really bums me out is this arranged marriage I'm in" she complained, Talia placed her hand on her shoulder "Hey, the situation you're in may not be the best. But we can just forget about your forced marriage and have a good time there, okay?" she reassured.

Shelby sighed and then smiled "Yeah, you're right" she said more relaxed. Talia nodded at her response, Shelby then returned to her pacing "It's just..... when I look at Childe I feel nothing. Like..." she turned around to look at Quiana "What happens when you see Thoma?" she then looks at Talia "Or when you look at Scaramouch" she continued.

"I don't know, It's like a boom or a flutter in my chest. And it happens just by thinking about him" Quiana explained, Talia nodded confirming the same for her "See!" Shelby blurts out "I don't have that" she said as she plopped down on a chair.

"Well..." Quiana breaks the thread with her teeth "Like Talia said, lets just have fun when we get there" she then held up a white dress she finished sewing up "What do you think?" she asked. Shelby stood back up and held the dress with a hum examining it "Can't we make it blue?" she requested.

Quiana shrugged "I don't know how to do that. Besides you look pretty good in white" she said. Shelby slipped on the dress and looked at herself once it was on "Huh, This actually looks really pretty" she said with a smile.

Talia hops excitedly "Oh you look so good in that!" she cheered, Quiana nodded "Now we just gotta wait for Shenhe since we're already ready" she said. And right on the nick of time Shenhe arrived with Childe behind her "Hello girls. You all ready?" she greeted.

Shelby approached her and twirled around "Shenhe, isn't it lovely?" she said in delight, Shenhe smiled at her admiringly "You look wonderful" She looked at everyone else "Well, everyone ready?" and everyone nodded in unison.

Shelby leaned in and whispered to Quiana and Talia "You know, I suddenly have a pretty good feeling about tonight" she said with a positive smile.
