Act 3

The dance has begun, everyone in the place danced widely. Flowing with the rhythm of the grand, loud music. Everyone seemed to be delighted but only in their own circle, oni's with oni's and humans with humans. Even when the purpose of this dance is to at least help them get along a little.

Shenhe along with the company she brought with her arrived at this dance, it seemed friendly at first. Shenhe greeting people she knows, Shelby clinging on to Quiana and Talia like a life preserver.

Takuya who was at this dance, noticed Shenhe, and she noticed Takuya. Quiana seemed to noticed the tension so she quickly moved Shelby and Talia to the back so that Shelby would avoid the hint.

But unfortunately Shelby caught on and watched Shenhe and Takuya somewhat charge at each other "Even at a fun event they can't stop fighting" Shelby frowned with her arms crossed. More people and Oni's start to charge at each other but before anything violent could happen Heizou and Kujou Sara stopped everyone.

"Alright, Break it up break it up!" Sara shouted, everyone backed away from each other but keeping their deadly glares "Now we all know why we're here" Heizou announced, the crowd mumbled "To have Onis and people get along" mumbles from the crowd continued.

Heizou perked up with an idea "Everyone! Why don't we try this, Why don't you come in and form 2 circles girls in the inner circle boys in the outer circle" he announced. The crowd seemed unsure of what's to come.

Silence waved the environment, then Takuya walked to the center, Onis cheering him on. Ila following after, being cheered as well. They look at the people, Shenhe walked to the center, people cheering her on. Childe followed after, people cheering them on as well.

Eventually more participated, Heizou seemed delighted at the sight. The two circles were formed waiting for Heizous instructions "Alright, now on my command you all-" he was then interrupted by the groups suddenly pairing up with their own kind dancing competitively against each other "Oh Come on!" Heizou shouted.

As the Onis and people danced against each other they gave deadly glares of pure anger towards each other. In the process of this competitive dancing, in the corner of Takuyas vision he sees someone walk in, he looked over and perked up when he saw that Itto arrived "Itto!" he shouted excitedly.

He trotted over and side hugged Itto "You made it!" he said, Itto chuckled "I said I'd be here, didn't I?" he explained, Takuya nodded "Well you came on time. We were just now doing some kind of dance fight thing right now" Itto rolled his eyes "Even at a fun event they can't stop fighting" he mumbled to himself.

Quiana shook her head and Talia tapped her foot both in disappointment, They look behind them to see Shelby looking down at the ground frowning in sorrow. Quiana sighed "You know what, fuck it" she grabbed Shelbys wrist and pulled her to the dance floor "Wha? But what about-"

"Ah, forget about the stupid fighting. Let's just make sure we have a good time" Quiana said, Talia nodded  in agreement. Quiana moved to the music encouraging her to dance, Shelby smiled and began to dance with Quiana and Talia, finally enjoying her time.

Takuya grabbed Itto by the arm and dragged him into the dance floor "Come join us Itto" he cheered. Itto nearly fell from the sudden pull but chuckled after "Okay okay I'm coming" And he began to dance along with the music, just for the fun of it.

Shelby, Quiana, and Talia giggled together, Shelby smiling widely. Quiana and Talia looked at each other and nodded in unison, to Shelbys surprise she was lifted into the air, she laughed as a result and was quickly put back down on the ground.

Itto caught a glimpse of short blue hair being lifted into the air, for some reason it swayed him. He stayed still wondering  what that was. But he shook his head just brushing it off for now.

Shelby froze when her eyes locked onto someone

They can see each other from the other from the other side of the room, everything around them went blurry leaving the person being clear as day. As if they were now the only people in the building they walked towards each other.

Now standing face to face, Shelby looking up at the crimson oni before her, Itto looking at Shelby. Then, both placed their hands on their back, step over right step over left, they lock hand and circle around keeping their eyes locked on each other.

They stop, they each other and both hands intertwined, the step right, forward, left, back. Itto spun her around and dipped her. They circle around once more, then stop. It suddenly seemed quiet with just the two of them, their eyes locked at each other.

"Do... you think I'm someone else?" Itto asked, Shelby gently shook her head "No" she answered. Ittos expression softened "Have we met before?" he asked once more. Shelby again shook her head "No" she answered.

Ittos eyes lit up "I... I had a feeling something would happen but I wasn't expecting this" he explained, Shelby held up her  hands "My hands are cold" she said. Itto held them with his own, Shelby gave a daydreamed expression "Yours are warm" she said.

She look back up, she brushed the back of her fingers on his cheek  "Such beautiful eyes" she blurted out. Itto gently cupped her cheek "So beautiful" he said, Shelby hummed with little smile. They slightly pulled back from each other keeping their gaze "This is a lot. It's not a joke right?" he asked, "I'm not one for making jokes. I don't see why I'd start today"

They locked eyes for what felt like an eternity, as if they moved on their own they slowly lock hands. And then they began to inch closer to each other, Shelbys heart was racing, is this okay, will they get caught? Before she knew it, she shut her eyes the moment their lips connected, it felt so soft, she stay in this moment forever.

But it unfortunately got interrupted when Shenhe stepped and pushed Itto away and shouted "You get away from her oni?" she shouted while she pulled Shelby behind her "Shenhe?!" she whined "Don't even come near my sister" Shenhe continued defensively. Itto gave a face of wide eyed shock "Sister?" Shelby gave a nervous smile with a little shrug.

Shenhe still seemed angered "I swear I will-" Heizou then stepped in to hold her back "Whoa whoa whoa hold it there. Everything was going so well" Shenhe continued to glare at Itto, Shelby stepped in and held her back "Shenhe please, don't do anymore damage" she pleaded.

"I shouldn't have brought you here. Quiana, Talia, bring Shelby back home" she demanded, Shelby seemed saddened "But-" Quiana slightly tugged on her shoulder, making Shelby sigh in defeat. She locked eyes with Itto once again and began leaving with Quiana and Talia.

Itto stared at her as she left, he felt his heart soar "Shelby" he mutter quietly. Takuya stepped in glaring at Shenhe "What do you want?" she asked angrily "Relax, I just want to talk" he answered. Shenhe quirked an eyebrow "What about?" she once again asked.

Takuya looked at Heizou, he stepped closer to Shenhe and whispered to her "How about we meet in the back of the building and we talk about setting up a rumble" Shenhe gave an unsure expression but then nodded. 

She began walking to the back, Takuya looked at Itto who seemed to be spacing out. His mind was stuck on the girl he just encountered, a small tint of pink formed in his cheeks when he was reliving the memory in his mind. Takuya snapped his fingers in front of him "Earth to Itto"

Itto blinked "Huh?" he looked at Takuya "Aren't you gonna come with me?" he asked, Itto blinked "Uh, you go on ahead I... I gotta go do something" then he zoomed out of the building leaving Takuya feeling confused.

Takuya and Shenhe facing each other stood behind the building "So, you want to set up a rumble?" Shenhe asked, Takuya nodded "That's right" they continued glaring at each other "So... Where and what time?" she asked as she leaned forward.

Takuya paced back and forth with a face that was in thought, "Tomorrow night. At Mt. Kanna" he answered "Sound good?" he asked. Shenhe thought about it for a moment, then nodded "Deal" she said then they shook hands.
