I woke up, excited to go hang out with Miliani today. Obviously, we aren't gonna go to school, instead we're gonna go look at pretty flowers.
I wanted to look cute today but I couldn't figure what to wear. Nothing I own is cute! I sigh and settle for a pastel blue bumblebee shirt and black leggings.
I brush my hair into space buns before heading downstairs and putting on my light blue converse. I packed allergy pills and a water bottle in my small cat backpack.
I sat on the couch and waited impatiently for Miliani. She said she would come for me.
After about 15 minutes (which felt like an entire hour), I heard a knock on the door and I rushed to open it, seeing Miliani standing there. She was wearing a white tee with a skull and some black shorts. Her legs are WOW.
She pulled me into a hug, smiling sweetly. "Hi, you look cute today. Ready to go, baby girl?" She asked and all I could do was nod, still astounded by how pretty she is. I followed her out of my house and we headed towards the public bus stop.
Wait, did she really call me baby girl?!?! Is that what friends do?? I think so, I've heard some girls call each other that. Should I be feeling this fluffy about it? Probably not, I'm probably making it weird.
We got on the bus that would take us directly to the festival, it would be an hour and a half long ride but it must be worth it. I've actually never been to the flower festival before but I've heard it's amazing.

I slowly opened my eyes, beginning to be aware of where I was. I realized that I was asleep on Miliani's lap. I jolted up, embarrassed and ashamed of myself.
Miliani looked at me, I could see there was worry in her eyes. "Are you ok? Did you have a nightmare?"
I shook my head, looking at my feet. "No, I just.. I'm sorry. I d-didn't mean to fall asleep on you."
I felt Miliani pet my head, "it's fine, hun. Don't worry about it. Besides, you were adorable while sleeping." She said, smiling.
I looked out the window to see where we were, I wasn't sure how long I'd been asleep for. "Are we there yet?" I asked, I was impatient to get there already... even though I mostly slept.
"Pretty much, yeah. Just need to get to the bus stop." Miliani answered. I was so excited to see what this festival was all about.
We got off the bus and walked for a bit. After about ten minutes of walking, we finally arrived.
We walked through an archway with lavenders hanging. It looked straight out of a faery forest. There were hedges to both sides of us containing beautiful white roses.
I was in awe and this isn't even the whole thing. Miliani looked over at me and smiled. "Pretty isn't it?" She said and held my hand. "Yeah." was all I could reply with, words couldn't express how beautiful it was.
Further ahead there were fields upon fields of flowers of all sorts and colours with stone paths for people to walk.
There was a beautiful fountain with crystal clear water surrounded by cherry blossoms.
"Let's a take a picture together." Miliani said while walking to the fountain, dragging me along with her.
She had one of those instant picture cameras with her. I hear they're pretty expensive so I was worried when she handed it to a random person to take our picture. I had this small fear of the person just running off with the camera. I really have no faith in humanity.
I stood in front of the fountain smiling awkwardly. I have never really been a fan of taking pictures. I always feel so awkward and I end up looking so weird, but Miliani is really excited so I guess it can't hurt.
Before the picture was taken, Miliani hugged me from behind, pressing her cheek against mine. I barely had time to react.
Snap. Snap.
The person took two pictures and handed the camera back to Miliani who gave me one of the photos.
I was a blushing mess, it's so embarrassing but... Miliani was smiling at the picture. It seemed she really liked it. I smiled and put the picture in my backpack. Maybe this is the only picture I look good in.
We continued walking around and taking some more pictures of the scenery. This place was huge! I even got to see some llamas.. or were they alpacas? They look the same to me.
The place was closing and the sun was starting to set so we decided to head back.
When we were on the bus, Miliani told me to close my eyes so I did.
I felt her soft hands graze against my neck for a split second then I opened my eyes, looking down.
It was a delicate little cherry blossom necklace.
"What's this for?" I asked, sort of confused.
"It's a gift. I thought it would look cute on you." She replied with a smile.
I smiled back, "thank you, it's really beautiful. But I didn't get you anything." I said starting to feel slightly bad.
She shook her head and placed her hand on my thigh. "You didn't need to get me anything, you being here with me is a gift enough as cliché as that sounds." We giggled.
I was having such a nice time, I didn't want to leave Miliani. Without even thinking, I asked the dumbest thing in my entire 17 years of life.
"Umm.. Do you maybe possibly want to sleep over at my house?"
What. The. Fuck. What is wrong with me?! Girls my age don't do sleepovers, what was I thinking? I wasn't.
"Sure," Miliani poked my cheek "I just have to stop by my place and pick up some stuff."
D-did she just agree? OH MY GOSH SHE AGREED!! Miliani is actually going to my house and spend the night with me.
Wait.
Miliani is actually coming over?! Oh my god what am I gonna fucking do?!
