Chapter 13: Hanguang-Jun, Let's Go Back Home Together!

In the end, even Lan Xichen was alerted of the ruckus that was going on at their front gates after a few disciples came to him almost on the verge of tears as they cried for help.

They seemed troubled as they tried to explain the situation to him. The two boys were the juniors that had been guarding the entrance when Wei Ying arrived and started his disturbance. After being unable to contain him, they were sent away and some seniors took their place, but they did no better than them either. The boys came to Lan Xichen after being scolded by Lan Queen.

Lan Xichen sighed and rushed to calm down the distressed disciples, assuring them it wasn't their fault. After a while of repeating the same thing to them they finally calmed down and he sent them back to resume their studies. Then he headed down to where the problem was.

Sure enough, he found Wei Ying sitting outside the entrance of Cloud Recesses, shouting loudly and stubbornly refusing to leave or hear anything the Lan disciples had to say. He shook his head as a small laugh left his lips at the sight of this. Young Master Wei never failed to surprise him. It was no surprise that he had Wangji in such distress all the time. He was completely unpredictable.

The disciples spotted him first and quickly turned to greet him politely.

"Sect Leader Lan." they all said in unison.

Lan Xichen gave them a soft smile as he nodded at them, acknowledging them. When Wei Ying heard this, his head turned towards him, a wide smile spread on his face when their eyes met, as if he was greeting an old friend.

"Zewu-Jun!" Wei Ying greeted him with familiarity, as if he was meeting an old friend he hadn't seen in a while. He waved his hand happily at him

Lan Xichen smiled as he replied, "Young Master Wei."

"Zewu-Jun, these guys won't let me in," Wei Ying said, pouting dramatically. " I traveled for a long way to get here and I'm exhausted."

"Are you here for Wangji?" Xichen asked, getting straight to the point.

Wei Yings expression suddenly turned serious and he instantly replied, "Yes, that's why I am here. Will you let me see him?"

Xichen was about to reply but at that moment they heard heavy footsteps rushing down the mountain, soon after, Wangji appeared, running desperately.

The moment he saw Wei Ying he stopped abruptly, feeling all his worries washing away.

"Wei Ying." He said in a hoarse voice. Then he placed his hands on his knees as he tried to catch his breath. He couldn't believe he was actually there.

His full attention was focused on Wei Wuxian so much that he even failed to notice his brother's presence. Completely ignoring everything else. Right now, all he could see was Wei Ying.

"...Lan Zhan." Wei Ying murmured slowly as he got up from the floor.

"Well, looks like I can't be of assistance to Master Wei." Lan Xichen said with a soft smile. "Wangji is already here."

"Brother, why are you here?" Wangji asked, turning towards Xichen, startled to find him there as well.

Lan Xichen glanced quickly at Wei Wuxian before giving an amused look at Wangji as he explained, "Young Master Wei made quite a scene as he shouted for you. The disciples were helpless against him and they came to me for me."
