Xena Salvatore and the Angel's Eye

Previously on Xena Salvatore and the Angel's Eye...

Cedric falls asleep as the man picks up Xena as she holds Cedric against her chest. 

The next morning, Xena wakes up in a weird bedroom with a pounding headache. When she's finally able to clear her head, she realizes that Cedric isn't in the room and she starts to think the worst. Then the door opens, the man from last night comes in with Cedric in his arms.

 Xena gasps and in a rapid motion, she grabs Cedric from the man, holds him in one arm and with the other, she aims her hand at him, ready to fire if he tries to fight. 

"Who are you and where are we?!" Xena shouts at the man.  

"Woah, easy! I would never hurt you; you're my best friend's kids. Alaric Salvatore is your father, isn't he? I'm sure if you remember me Xena, but this isn't our first meeting. You were a baby when we first met. You were walking all over the house and when you turned 3, you started training with your powers. I was so proud of you and so were your parents." The man said. 

It took a few moments for it to finally click in Xena's mind...

"Uncle Lucian? Is that really you?" Xena asked as she let her hand fall and held Cedric with both arms instead of one. 

Lucian nodded and Xena dropped her guard and hugged Lucian with one arm while the other was holding Cedric. Lucian had one arm around Xena's back while the other was supporting Cedric. 

"I am so happy that I was in Supernova when I was; you two could've gotten hurt and I'm surprised you're not crying Xena." Lucian said. 

"Just because I don't have tears rolling down my face, doesn't mean I'm not crying on the inside." Xena said, while looking at Cedric. 

"Besides, I have to stay strong for Cedric, I'm his only blood-related family now; but I know that family isn't about the blood you share, it's about the love you share." Xena said. 

Lucian nods, they stay in the hug for a few minutes before they break it. 

"You must be hungry, how about some Dutch babies or some roly pollies?" Lucian asks. 

(Dutch babies are German pancakes and roly pollies are an English dessert, a crescent with raspberry jam in the middle, covered with a clear glaze) Now I'm hungry!! 

Lucian, Xena and Cedric go down to the kitchen and Lucian starts cooking while Xena puts Cedric in the high chair. 

After about 20 minutes, both the Dutch babies and the roly pollies were done and of course some mashed peaches for Cedric. 

"I know that chocolate makes you feel better Xena, so I put some chocolate chips in the Dutch babies and some chocolate sauce on the side for the roly pollies." Lucian said as he laid a plate of 2 Dutch babies and 3 small roly pollies. 

Time Skip  

Later that night, Lucian, Xena and Cedric are sitting in the living room, with Cedric laying on Xena's chest.  Lucian looks at Xena as she rubs Cedric back and scratches his scalp. 

"You're already a great big sister, Xena. What do you think Cedric's powers are going to be?" Lucian asked. 

"He was just born yesterday Uncle Lucian, we don't what they will be; hopefully he'll have mother's or father's. I don't want him to have mine, at least that's what I'm hoping." Xena said, still looking at the little baby boy laying on her chest. 

 "Why may I ask?" Lucian asked. 

"I don't want him to have my powers, because I don't him to be more of target than he already is. I'm okay with having that target on my back; it was bound to happen I guess." Xena said. 

Time skip again...

Cedric, much to Xena's horror had the same powers as Xena. Xena was worried that Cedric would become a bigger target for Ciaran Shadow in order to get to Xena; but Xena trained Cedric with all elements that they both had. 

Four years passed like that, Xena is 10 and Cedric is 4, they were as close as siblings could ever be.  Lucian was getting the mail when he notices a letter addressed to Xena. 

"Xena! Come here please! You have a letter!" Lucian calls out to Xena. 

Xena comes down the stairs, grabs the letter from Lucian and opens it.

What will the letter say? Will Xena get good or bad news?
