The year was 1965 a small section of the Valentino head family gathered in a dimly lit dining room adorned with opulent décor, the mafia family, led by Mother Sophia, gathered for what seemed like a peaceful dinner. The clinking of silverware against fine China was interrupted by sudden gunfire, shattering the tranquility. Chaos ensued as the family members ducked for cover, their eyes wide with fear.

Amidst the chaos, Sophia, the matriarch, remained surprisingly composed. With a steely gaze, she ordered her son, Giovanni, to be taken to safety. "Giovanni, go live with your Aunt Camila," she said, her voice unwavering, as if making a decision that had been long contemplated.

Giovanni, a young man with his mother's determination etched on his face, nodded in understanding, his hands still trembling. He stole a last glance at his father, Alfonso, whose expression was a mixture of anger and worry. Alfonso, a powerful figure in the mafia world, was visibly displeased with this arrangement. His jaw clenched as he vowed, "I'll find out who's behind this attack, and they'll pay dearly for endangering our family."

The room fell silent for a moment, the tension hanging thick in the air. With a final glance at his family, Giovanni left, knowing that his life was about to take a drastic turn. Little did he know, his journey with Aunt Camila would not only be a refuge but also a path toward discovering the truth behind the attack that had torn his family apart. As the plane soared across the vast expanse of the United States, Giovanni Daniel Valentino kept his eyes fixed on the changing landscapes below. The year was 1974, and he was leaving behind the only life he had ever known in New York, his mind swirling with a mixture of emotions – fear, determination, and a glimmer of hope for a fresh start in California. Little did he know, his journey would lead him into uncharted territories, unveiling secrets, and testing his resilience in ways he never imagined.

Little did he know, his journey would lead him into uncharted territories, unveiling secrets, and testing his resilience in ways he never imagined Giovanni settled into his seat, and he noticed the air stewardess, a friendly smile on her face as she prepared for the flight. With a polite nod, he mustered his courage and said, "Excuse me, miss, could I please have a glass of water?"

The stewardess, impressed by his politeness, nodded in return. "Of course, young man. I'll get that for you right away," she replied, charmed by his demeanor.

"Thank you very much," Giovanni said with a warm smile, his eyes reflecting a maturity beyond his years. Despite being just thirteen, he possessed a natural charm and grace that made him stand out, even in unfamiliar situations. A little girl pecked her head over the seat staring at him. She waved softly showing him a doll. "This is Jewelly" Giovanni's eyes softened as he noticed the little girl peeking over the seat, holding her doll named Jewelly. He smiled warmly and said, "Hello there! Jewelly is a beautiful name for your doll. She must be very special to you."

The little girl nodded, her eyes wide with innocence, and she whispered, "Yes, she's my best friend."

Giovanni, charmed by her innocence, replied, "That's wonderful. Friends are precious, aren't they? I hope you and Jewelly have a fantastic journey too."

The little girl beamed, her face lighting up with happiness. It was a brief moment of connection, a reminder of the simplicity of childhood amidst the complexities of the world outside the airplane window. "Do you have any friends, who's your best friend?" With a small sigh, he spoke up. "I don't have a lot of friends" Giovanni hesitated for a moment before responding, his eyes reflecting a hint of sadness. "I don't have a lot of friends," he admitted, his voice soft. "But I guess you can say my family has always been my best friends. We've stuck together through thick and thin."
