The thing with glowing eyes

Blue panicked as he watched his sister run off towards the setting sun. Him, Cricket and Willow hadn't moved a single bit. They figured it would be stupid to start looking for the middle when it was night time. Willow and Cricket cautiously went to sleep while Blue volunteered to keep watch. He leaned against a hedge and Cricket rested her head on his shoulder. He stared at the stars. The stars stared back. Well, not exactly. He thought he saw Wasp's face in the stars and he clenched his fist. Blue didn't normally get mad at people but she was just so evil. He growled softly but relaxed when Bumblebee curled up in his lap. Blue stroked her gently. Then he heard an ear-piercing shriek.

Swordtail kicked a rock and slumped down where he was. A shape zoomed past him and he instantly regretted leaving the group. ziip. The thing ran past him again and he got a glimpse of the color green. "Sundew?" He called quietly. A head poked out from behind the bush and he screamed so loud at the pair of glowing eyes that he swore Blue and the others could hear him. The creature hissed at him and bounded away. That couldn't be Luna, could it? He thought. Most girls in the friend group wore green a lot, but not that lime-green color. It was Luna and he was sure of it. Without hesitating, he ran after the white-eyed thing, crashing into hedges as he went. After about half an hour of running, he gave up and panted breathlessly. He stopped making noises but he still heard panting.

"Hello?" Swordtail said nervously. "Is anyone th-there?" He turned into a curve where a girl was leaning against the hedge, panting. She turned to look at him and she looked kind of relieved. But then she looked relieved/annoyed. "There you are, Fish-brain," She said. Swordtail's shoulders relaxed when he heard the nickname 'Fish-brain.' Only one person calls him that.

"Sundew!" He cried. "What are you doing here?"

"I came looking for you!" Sundew replied. She thought for a moment and then slapped Swordtail. "What did you do that for?" He retorted. "No reason." She replied. "Did you see a weird creature with glowing eyes?" She asked, more seriously. Swordtail put his finger on his chin and hummed, thinking deeply. "Well as a matter of fact I have," He answered. Sundew's eyes widened. "I think it was Luna, '' Swordtail continued. Sundew looked at him disbelievingly. . "This is the first time you actually used your brain, '' she teased. He attempted to slap her but she caught his arm before it touched her. "I'm trained in Martial arts, don't try me." She said with a smirk.
