I remember the first time we met, a few years ago, when Teagan was just a nameless stranger in a sea of faces. Back then, I couldn’t have foreseen the profound impact she would have on my life.
She had been a serendipitous presence, like a missing piece of puzzle I hadn’t known I was searching for.
She was a revelation.
Her grace and elegance, coupled with a sharp intellect, had immediately caught my attention, but it was the warmth in her eyes, and the way she made people feel valued and heard that had truly drawn me in.
She had an innate ability to put others at ease, a gift that I had found both captivating and endearing.
Three years of working together had solidified our bond. It was a connection that transcended the professional, morphing into something deeper, more profound.
I had watched her grow, evolve, and become an indispensable part of my world. Now, as I held her close, I marveled at the sheer luck that she had brought into my life.
She is a rare gem, a treasure I knew I didn’t deserve, but was eternally grateful for. I couldn’t help but wonder what I had done to be so fortunate to have her by my side.
Teagan’s a soothing balm to my chaotic existence, the anchor that kept me grounded. In her embrace, I found solace, a refuge from the storm that often raged within me.
I pressed a soft kiss on top of her head, inhaling the subtle scent of her hair. “I love you.”
I would cherish her, protect her, and make sure that she knew, every day, just how much she meant to me.

I was busy flipping pancakes in the kitchen, the sizzle of batter in the pan filling the room.
The warm, comforting smell of breakfast was a delightful way to start the morning. I am planning to surprise my wife with breakfast in bed, a small gesture of affection to make up for the tensions of the past week.
As I continued to cook, my father entered the kitchen, dressed impeccably as always. I looked up and gave him a warm smile. “Good morning, father. I’m making breakfast for Teagan. It’s been a bit tense around here lately.”
He nodded and leaned against the kitchen counter, a serious expression on his face. “Indeed. That’s a thoughtful gesture, especially considering the recent events.”
I turned off the stove and gave my full attention to my father. “What’s up?”
He took a deep breath, considering his words. “There’s a significant event we must all attend tonight. Several potential business partners will be there. You understand the importance of this, I’m sure.”
I nodded. “I’m aware of the gala. I’ll ensure that everything runs smoothly.”
His tone became even more serious as he continued. “I need to emphasize the importance of controlling your emotions, especially when it comes to Roux. I don’t want any conflicts at the gala.”
“You have my word.”

As I entered our bedroom, a tray filled with delicious breakfast balanced in my hands, I was greeted by the sight of Teagan sitting on the edge of the bed, her expression heavy with sadness.
Her eyes were downcast, her voice tinged with uncertainty as she spoke. “I thought maybe you left, or that you didn’t love me anymore.”
My heart ached at the thought of my wife feeling this way. I reached out, gently lifting her chin so our gazes met. “Minha vida, nothing could be further from the truth. I could never leave you. What made you think of such a thing?”
She sighed. “I’ve just been feeling so lost lately, with everything that’s happened. It’s been a whirlwind, and I’m afraid that I’ll lose you, too.”
My fingers gently traced her cheek. “You’re not going to lose me, minha rainha. Amo-te mais do que as estrelas amam o céu.”
As I sat across from Teagan, watching her savor the breakfast I had prepared, a warm and almost wistful smile curled on my lips. I couldn’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude and love for the remarkable woman before me.
She was, without a doubt, the most beautiful sight I had ever beheld, her grace and her inner radiance illuminating my world.
“What if, meu amor, we were to get married again?”
She looked at me, a sparkle of curiosity in her eyes. “Again?”
I nodded. “Yes, bebê. A second wedding, a celebration of our love, a renewal of our vows. Just you and me, in a beautiful place, a place that means something special to us.”
“Why would we do that?”
“I want to remind the world, and most importantly, ourselves, how deeply I love you. I want to promise to love you forever, even more, if that’s possible.”
Teagan let out a soft chuckle. “Oh, Dacre, you’re such a romantic.”
I chuckled. “Guilty as charged, but I’m a romantic who’s head over heels in love with you, and I want the whole world to know it.”
Her eyes glowed with love as she leaned in to kiss my cheek. “I would love to marry you again, Dacre Salvadore.”

The grand gala was held in a luxurious ballroom, adorned with glittering chandeliers, tall marble pillars, and elaborate floral arrangement that filled the air with a fragrant aroma.
Velvet draperies in deep burgundy hung from the walls, and the soft glow of golden lights cast a warm, inviting ambiance throughout the space.
The air was filled with a symphony of laughter, clinking glasses, and lively chatter as elegantly dressed guests mingled.
As Dacre and I engaged in a lively conversation, a distinguished gentleman in a finely tailored black suit approached. Dacre, with his customary charm, excused himself briefly and extended a reassuring smile to me before walking with the man toward an exclusive interview booth.
I decided to follow them discreetly.
“Mr. Salvadore, your business has been making quite a name for itself in years. What do you think sets your brand apart from the competition?” The first interviewer asked.
“Our commitment to quality and craftsmanship. We source the finest ingredients and employ traditional techniques, passed down through generations. It’s this dedication to excellence that distinguishes our products.”
“Impressive, Mr. Salvadore. Now, shifting gears a bit, the public is always curious about the personal lives of successful entrepreneurs. Can you tell us about your current status?”
Dacre showed his hand. “I’m a married man. I’m truly blessed to have a wonderful wife who supports me in every endeavor. She’s my rock.”
