                                   HIS NIQABI GIRL

Elham.

I had no business walking away like that because I still had to wait by the door, to have him unlock it.

Talk about embarrassing

Once he reached the door where I was standing awkwardly, I looked away as he unlocked the door with the card.
He held out the door open for me as I contemplated whether or not to accept the gesture. Of course, I was way too stubborn and egoistic so I looked away and crossed my arms across my chest.
He sighed, stepping in as the door began to close slowly . Immediately, I pushed it back, allowing some space to enter.

Why's this door so heavy?

I took my shoes off immediately, before taking a proper look at  the apartment. I almost gasped when I caught a sight of the living room.

This place is stunning!

The furniture was mostly white and a few pastel colors thrown here and there. There were beautiful paintings hung up on the high walls and the room wasn't too tight or too spacious. Just perfect.

"Welcome" Asaad muttered lazily.
Ignoring him, I picked up my shoes.

"Can you show me to my bedroom please?" I asked flatly.

"You mean our bedroom?" He corrected.

I grew confused

What do you mean by 'our' bedroom?

The apartment had four bedrooms, we didn't have to share a room. I didn't want to share a bedroom with him.

"We're sharing a bedroom?" I asked him.

He simply nodded.

Why?

"That's the master bedroom" he said pointing to a door. I was perplexed but also too tired to ask any more questions. I needed to have some proper sleep first, before resuming that conversation.

I trudged to the door, twisting the knob open.

I thought the living room was beautiful, but it was nothing compared to this bedroom. The kingsized bed, the furniture, the lighting, the pot plants, the wall frames.
I stepped in immediately, feeling delighted. And then I spotted a banner high up against the wall. It was tied to the two opposite walls of the room and it read 'hello wifey".

I blushed. Yes, I blushed really hard.

Directly below it was a couch filled with numerous gift boxes and paper bags. There were also a few balloons littered around.

Were they for me?

I moved to the couch, which felt like miles away due to how big the room was. On top of the highest box was a black card. I picked it up curiously.

As I opened it, I noticed a very short note which appeared to be handwritten.

It read, Here's to the beginning of the rest of our lives together.

I closed it back, suddenly feeling a wave of guilt for the way I snapped at him earlier.

But he deserved it.

I was about to open the first box, when I heard a sound. I turned to look down, it was May, his cat.

I smiled widely. "Aww, you little princess" I coeed, picking her up to caress her. She rubbed her head against my chest as she meowed.
