I got up, prepared and headed outside. “Our guests should soon arrive,” a portal appeared out of nowhere, “there they are.” Sammuel pointed out. There they were. Natsu Dragneel, Gray Fullbuster and two other unfamiliar faces, one wearing a uniform and the other wearing a cloak.

“So, this is the young hero chosen to save the universe.” Natsu said. “Are you sure he is up to the task Sammuel and Karma?” “I might have been holding back but he beat me fair and square in a duel so I believe he can do it.” “I wanna test him master Natsu.” “Wouldn’t that be unfair since he hasn’t been taught magic yet tho Jason?” “Either he learns it midway battle or he dies because I don’t plan to hold back at all.” “Fine, give me everything you got.”
“I like his mentality but before the battle I want you to imagine energy flowing through your entire body and manifest it into attacks.” Gray instructed. I nodded and soon the battle started. “Flame Dragon Magic, Flaming Fists!” His fists engulfed in flames and soon after he rushed towards me. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. Aura surrounded me and it was so intense that it pushed back Jason. “So, you unlocked your mana, good.”
We went blow for blow for a couple of minutes then he pulled out his katana made out of lava. I decided to pull out my staff. I coated my blade with mana and decided to start attacking. Jason easily blocked all of them and slashed me with his sword. The pain made me drop my staff and I was on my knees. “Any last words.” With my life flashing right before my eyes, I remembered a character I wrote and immediately copied her abilities.
“Gear 2!” I not only healed my wound but shot a laser beam at him from point blank range. “He has light magic?” Karma asked in confusion. “Woah Jason actually let him recover. What a rookie mistake.” His friend stated. “Not bad but I’ll end this now. Flame Dragon Magic, Dragon King’s Decimation!” His body ignited and took the shape of a dragon. As he rushed towards me I emitted as much light as possible from my body and charged right at him.
