In her town

Lilah couldn’t believe her eyes. A 65-year-old man was standing in front of her, having murdered and kidnapped 32 young girls from Thurmont. She felt pure rage course through her veins and her hands began to shake with anger. She raised her knife and slowly prepared to swing it down towards the man. But before she could finish her action, she was stopped by a strange feeling in her heart; she felt pity.

The man was so helpless and fragile, yet he had a dark history of killing and kidnapping small innocent girls. How could someone so weak be capable of such acts? Lilah’s knife wavered in her trembling hands and for a moment, she just stood there lost in thought.

Suddenly, all the pain and suffering that had been endured in her small town all came crashing down. She could see the faces of all the missing girls; she could hear the shrieks of terror and feel the fear in the townsfolk's hearts. All these emotions swelled up into a single, powerful thought; the lecherous old man in front of her had to pay for his actions.

With a loud cry, Lilah whipped her knide through the air and brought it crashing down on the man’s neck. But just as the knife was about to make contact, a strong wind blew in the old prison cell, stopping her attack and saving the old man’s life.

Lilah was shocked and taken aback, but she knew she couldn’t let her hesitation cause her to hesitate this time. She stepped back, regathered her intention, and brought her knife back up. As she stood trembling before the man, she made her decision; he must pay for his crimes.

She swung her knife, and this time with the full force of her anger behind it. The old man slumped forward, she somehow managed to spill blood everyone but on herself, seemingly defeated by her wrath. Lilah knew that the girls’ families wouldn’t have any justice, but she took comfort in knowing that the old man wouldn’t be alive to harm anyone else.

As Lilah lowered her weapon, she heard someone coming closer and closer to the cell so she quickly took her sword and ran as fast as she could out the prison somehow managing not to get caught, getting away with her second murder.

Lilah was exhausted from all that had happened, but she couldn’t help but smile. She had brought another evil person to an end and helped restore balance and peace in her town. In that moment, she knew she wanted to kill all the bad people no matter what the consequences are.
