Yukihira, a high school student burdened by her responsibilities, woke up like any other day. With tired eyes, she gazed at the ceiling, taking a few moments to gather herself before preparing for school. Her only companion, her cat Chi-chi, received a soft egg for breakfast, a reminder of the limited resources she had since her parents' passing. Throughout the school day, Yukihira felt increasingly fatigued and mentally drained.
Upon returning home, she dropped her bag near the front door, a symbol of her weariness.Yukihira found solace in her work, as it provided her with a sense of fulfillment that nothing else could. However, her solitary existence and the monotony of her life took a toll on her, leaving her easily exhausted. The fear she felt towards people on the streets, their distant and unapproachable demeanor, only added to her weariness.Driven by hunger, Yukihira checked the fridge, only to find it empty. With hesitation, she ventured to the store alone. There, she purchased a tin of soup, a packet of fried noodles, and two cans of fruit drink.
As she exited the store, she was unexpectedly attacked, resulting in multiple stab wounds and a loss of energy. Weary and drained, Yukihira gazed at the spilled packet of fried noodles and cans of fruit drinks on the ground, feeling an overwhelming sense of emptiness. As she began to succumb to her injuries, she felt as though she was drifting into a dream-like state. Collapsing onto the ground, her face pressed against the pavement, Yukihira's fate, filled with loss, finally came to a halt.
"......"
Yukihira woke up, there was nothing around her but endless darkness, the pavement where; her face was pressed was replaced with an abyss. She stood up only to hear her movements echoing in the endless darkness. Yukihira started to wander, as each step is taken, ripples form beneath her feet, creating a mesmerizing visual display.
An eerie chuckle as overbearing echoed throughout the abyss, Yukihira diverted her attention towards the sound, a man with an awestrucking beauty and his face pale like snow, somewhat dead. A grin with an evident disdain plastered on his face as his long white hair flowed behind him with braids that was somewhat evident. Yukihira felt, as if; her whole body froze, she couldn't utter a single word.
The unknown man only spoke in a grating tone. "Your fate, as pitying it was to watch, finally ended."
Her fate; burdened with the pressure to survive and with no sign of any miracle, it was truly pitying. Yukihira was only filled with confusion as she pondered what the man has spoken. The man's intention were unknown yet she felt that he bears no harm. She opened her mouth to speak yet there was no sound that emitted from her mouth—only silence. She look down in great disbelief as her hand reached to her mouth yet, the man disappeared in an instant, only to appear in front of her.
The man's cold pair of hands were placed on top of hers, stopping her hands that was reaching for her mouth, Yukihira, who; didn't noticed the man's movement felt shaken with fear as the man stared down at her, almost towering her. The cold hands which was on top of hers trailed towards her cheeks, the grin which the man had from the beginning was still evident with disdain.
The man's eyes where sharp as he stared into Yukihira's eyes that was evident with fear before speaking; "Fortunately, I am here to give you a second life, chosen one."
Without waiting for Yukihira's response, a swarm of black butterflies engulfed her body and vision as the man that once held her—let go. Yukihira's vision faded to black as she succumbed to the darkness.
The unknown man turned around, only to face a woman with 2 large rings circling her head, the rings however, has eyes that were moving around.
The woman didn't seem to be amused on the man's actions."You left her with no explanation, Seraph". The woman's voice was abrasive.
The unknown man which was called "Seraph" only chuckled lightly."Don't be soft, Nyx, it's better for her to explore this world."

In a field near a river, flowers that was red like blood as the fresh sunlight wash on them made them strikingly pleasing to look at, flowers whose petals curved backwards—spider lilies, flowers that which resembles death. Yukihira, who laid down on the ethereal scenery made her stand out. Yukihira weakly opened her eyes, she sat up as she scanned her surrounding as the sunlight was shining on her, making her feel the warm sensation the sunlight gave her. She was only filled with confusion, fear and excitement, the unknown man which she met moments before made an unsettling feeling in her stomach yet the thought of being free from the burden of her 'past' life has dwindled the fear she felt.
Yukihira straightened her posture and stood up, she noticed her hair; Long and colored maroon with its edge curly, her eyes widened noticing her change of appearance. Yukihira felt the unsettling feeling came back before looking around in hopes of finding a river, it didn't take long for Yukihira to notice the river bank.
She immediately ran towards the river, falling on the soft grass as she look at her reflection; hazel eyes with a long maroon colored hair with its edge curling. Yukihira cupped her cheeks as continued staring at her reflection, she was dazed but she snapped at her thoughts realizing that this was now her new appearance. She couldn't tell if this was a blessing or a curse, she laid on the soft grass, looking at the sky while thinking about her new life. This was all too much to take in but she was somewhat glad from being free, though she was oblivious about the world and her future, a glimpse of hope was evident in her eyes.
