Aria James let out a soft sigh as the sound of the high school bell filled the crowded hallways, making it almost impossible for the young girl to get to her locker.
"Hey, underachiever," her best friend Jasmine said walking up to the her with full hands. "Hey, disappointment."
"Ok, I know you don't want me to ask you this, but have you figured out what you're gonna do today?" Jasmine asked, Aria let out a sigh.
"I'll know in the moment," Aria said softly, grabbing her books from her locker. "Really, Aria, that's all you're giving me? Mrs. Harrison said this is your last chance."
"I know, I was there," Aria said, clearly irritated.
"See you at the rally!"
"Ugh! What is she handing out?" Jasmine said rolling her eyes as the two girls looked over at the most popular girl in school handing out fliers.
"Desperation," Aria said lightly chuckling as the brunette girl approached them.
"Here you go. My group's performing at the spirit rally tomorrow," The girl said in a high pitched voice. "I'm sure you guys have nothing better to do."
"Oh my gosh, Carrie. Thanks!" Jasmine said sarcastically, mocking her high pitched voice.
"Oh my gosh, Jasmine. Don't bother coming!" Carrie spoke, with the same tone. The two girls groaned as Carrie walked away, crumbling up the fliers they received. "Here you go! Come see Dirty Candy tomorrow."
Aria smiled widely as she saw her crush, her heart fluttered as she stared at him.
"Jack?" Jasmine asked as the girl snapped out of her daze, looking at her best friend. "Still?"
"You know they're gonna get married and have a bunch of unholy babies," The blonde said. "Jack's a sweetheart."
"You'd actually have to talk to him to know that," the girl teased, "And only one of them has to be a demon to make a demon baby," Jasmine continued, slowly peering behind Aria to look at Carrie.
"Demon!" Jasmine exclaimed, the brunette instantly whipped her head looking at the two best friends who were chuckling before rolling her eyes. "There's that's smile. Now, let's go prove everybody wrong."
