I'm so excited for today. It is my 14th birthday. My mother is throwing a formal party for me. Later she is going to let me to have a sleepover with my best friends. They are all so excited. Father is having the chef prepare a cake just for me and my friends. I know that we will all enjoy the party.

Since my family is the Evans family,we are extremely rich. We often host large events, so we always have a party planer on staff. That way we know that we will not have any problems planing. Which is how I know that my party will be amazing.

There is one simple knock on my door, signaling that someone is there. I quickly gather my thoughts as I make my way to the door.

"Ms. Evans, your mother has requested your presence down in your fathers office." Our butler, Harvey, says as soon as I opened the door. This does not surprise me that she wants me.She would normally ask for me before any events took place.

"Yes, Harvey, I shall be down in a moment's notice." I respond with a smile. Harvey was always an amazing person. He would walk up many flights of stairs just to deliver a simple message, despite the intercom system that we have running through the house. But then again, he never did believe in technology.

"Oh, I almost forgot to mention that your mother would like you to be properly dressed before you make your way down. Mahoney is on her way over to help you get into your proper attire. She will also help to style your hair." Harvey says before leaving to attend to other business around the house.

I walk over to the wardrobe to grab my dress. It's modern yet eloquent at the same time, perfectly styled to fit my more modern taste. There is a soft knock on my door before Mahoney enters. Mahoney is our styling and, what I like to call her, our wardrobe selector.

"Mahoney, it's lovely to see you. Do you approve in my selection for tonight's celebration?" I ask, hoping that she will approve. Mother will not let me attend a formal gathering, such as tonight, without having Mahoney approve my choice. Sadly this rule applies to everything, tonight not being that exception.

"Yes, I think that it will look amazing on you!' Mahoney says, clasping her hands together. She would almost always approve. There had only been a small amount of times when she would not let me wear something, but it was normally for a number of reasons. Mahoney makes her way over to me and gently takes the dress from me to examine it. "You have made a stunning choice." Mahoney says as she undoes the hidden zipper on the back.

She then quickly helps me into the dress and carefully pulls the zipper up. She flattens out any creases made by putting the dress on and smiles. She always has the most beautiful smile. "Now, let's get to that hair of yours." She playfully says before leading me over to the dressing table.

My mother had gotten me the dressing counter when I was little. It was always to big for me but I live it anyways. Mahoney has always loved it more than me. She has the whole thing organized and always knows where everything had been placed. It's quite spectacular to see, she does not even look at the drawers when getting something out of them.
