Chapter 2:Vacation?

Back at Poppy and Branches pod. The kids are in bed.Branch walks into there room They were still awake They were just on their sides. Branch walks over to Hazel. He tries to give her a kiss, but she puts the cover over her face.

Branch sighs and he then looks over at Harley. "Com'on guys." I know you're both awake." Can we just talk about this?"

The twins said nothing." Branch sighs once more. He looks at the twins again who still had their backs turned. He closes the door.

As their father leaves, Harley says, Maybe we shouldn't be so hard on Dad."

"Harley the guy didn't show up for our glitterball game." Hazel mentioned.

"I know." But I don't like seeing him like this." Harley says.

"He did this to himself." Hazel says. I love Dad too, it's just I wish he would stop helping everyone in Trollstopia and spend a lot more time with us, ya know?"

Harley didn't know what to say.

Meanwhile, Branch is seen drowning his sorrows in ice cream at Stripes Ice cream stand.

"Another round..." he says Groggily.

Stripe take the Glass. "I don't know you've had an awful lot of ice cream 🍨🍦."Maybe you should stop "

"I said ANOTHER!" Branch snapped.

Stripe sighs and gives Branch another glass of ice cream 🍨. Suddenly Branches brothers Spruce and Clay along with Poppy's sister Viva comes.

"Hey Bro." Clay greeted. "Whoa you look terrible."

"Thanks." Branch says burying his face in ice cream 🍨. Spruce Clay and Viva looked at each other.

"Uh...is something wrong Branch?" Viva asked.

"Is something wrong?" Branch repeated. "Is something wrong?" You Bet there's something wrong." Branch sighs sadly. I mucked up with Poppy and the kids. "I was supposed to be at the Twins Glitter ball game and missed it all. And now they're mad at me for it "

The three felt sorry for Branch.

"I'm a bad Dad " Branch says eat the ice cream Sadly.

"No No." You're not a bad Dad "Viva says.

"Yeah, your just in tuned into neglecting your family for work." Clay adds. This receives a glare from Viva and Spruce

"What?" He asked.

"Listen bro, don't beat yourself up" Spruce tells him. Everyone goofs up sometimes." Look at me, I forgot it was one my kids birthday." But did I grovel in Ice cream and self pity?

"Uh...."Branch said.

"Yes." Yes I did. And you know what I did?"
Branch stayed quiet. I begged for their forgiveness." So much.'' I did not get out of bed that night.''Spruce finished.

Viva pushes Spruce to the side. "Thank you for that wonderful pep talk Spruce." Listen, if you want things.to be Better between you and your family, take them somewhere."

"Like where?" Branch asked cocking a brow.

"Ooh, you can take them to Pufalo mountain 🏔️." Spruce says. I heard the twins loves Pufalo's. Branch smiles. "You know what that's not a bad idea 💡. A family vacation is just what my family needs." Branch says. "Thanks guys." And with that he was off.

Clay eats an ice cream 🍨. "Oh this good good."

At Poppy and Branches pod, Hazel and Harley are seen playing with toys, while Poppy is reading a book and Twig is napping.

Branch comes in."Pack your bags Family." Because we're going on Vacation."

"Vacation?" Hazel,Poppy and Harley said in union.

Poppy gets a dull look and crosses her arms. "Ok, who are you and what have you done with my husband?"

"Yeah?" Everyone knows Dad doesn't like to go on Vacation.'' He's more of a Staycation kind of Guy.''Hazel adds.

"Good one sis.'' Harley says high fiving his sister.

"I'm serious.'' Branch says. We're going on vacation.''We're going to Pufalo Mountain."

The twins gasped." Pufalo Mountain?" Hazel asked in joy. "Eeee.'' I love Pufalo's.''

"Me too. Harley says.

"Well, what are we waiting for?" Go pack your bags.'' Branch says. As the kids go pack their stuff, Poppy walks over to Branch with a smile and wraps her arms around his neck.

"Well it looks like Daddy's finally stepping up." I'm proud of you."

"Well you know. You were right." It's time to spend more time with you guys then working all the time Branch says.

Poppy smiles back and kisses him 💋😘.

Poppy then goes off to pack. As she leaves Branch cheers. "Yes yes yes yes yes." He then hears a yawn from Twig.

Branch picks him up. "We're going to have so much fun Twiggy.'' It's just going to be Me you, Mommy, Big sister and Brother.'' And no one will be mad at Daddy.'' Nothing can ruin this moment.''

Twig suddenly poops in his diaper and giggles. Branch sighs.

Soon the family was packed. Branch puts the last of their luggage 🧳 in the trunk of the dune huggy.

"Be careful out there." Viva says.

"Don't worry sis we will."Poppy says.

"Why don't you come with us Aunt Viva? Hazel.

"Wish I could kiddo, but Auntie has to stay here and watch over things with Grandpa and your uncles."Viva replies.

"Aww, but I really wanted you to come."Hazel says a little.

Viva smiled. "Tell you what, when you get back from your trip, Aunt Viva will take you all to get some milkshakes deal?" Hazel and Harley smiled and shakes her hand.

"Deal."🤝

"Ok family." Branch says. "Time to hit the road"🛣️. Everyone waves goodbye as Branch drives off.

"Enjoy your vacation!" John Dory calls out.

After leaving Trollstopia. The family has been driving for hours. The kids started to get board.

"Are we there yet? Harley asked Boarly.

"Not yet Bud." Branch replies. We still have 3 more hours til we get there.

Hazel and Harley groaned. "I'll die of boardum by the time we get there." Hazel whined.

"Well why don't we play a road game to pass the time?" Poppy suggested. How about, I spy?"

"I spy something with my little eye, Something with my little eye, something blue." 🔵

"Dad." Twig." Hazel's hair." Harley points out.

"Very good." Poppy says. Let's try another one. I spy something with my little eye, something white. White 🤍.

"That big cloud of fog that's coming towards us?"Hazel asked.

"Big cloud of fog?" Poppy asked and gasped seeing what was in front of them.
