Chapter 2: Not quite the same ᵎᵎ ˎˊ˗

October 30th

I woke up to Kiyoshi slapping me awake.
"Hey wake up! It's time for school wake up you dummy!"
"Alright alright jeez." To be honest he was like an annoying alarm clock but whatever. I got up and trudged over to the bathroom.

Time skip ((cause I don't want to write about this because it's boring 🥱🥱))

As we got out I had to walk with Kiyoshi today. Ugh, this was such a pain. He'll probably attract a ton of those female crazy fans at school. As we stepped into school bounds I saw Haru waiting for me tying her shoe laces.
"Cya idiot." I said to Kiyoshi as I went off before bumping into someone.
"Umm.. are you okay?" It was Aki the guy who was eavesdropping yesterday.
"Y-yeah." I said before getting up. Slightly annoyed it was the same guy from yesterday. The rude, ugly one.
"I remember you, your that girl in the library."
"Yeah I am." I said sheepishly quickly glancing at Haru before looking back at him.
"I didn't quite catch your name, mind telling me?"

"Oh Fuyuka, Fuyuka Sakura."
"Quite the sweet name mines Aki Akihiro. Catch you around." After he left I rolled my eyes. He thinks he can play 'nice guy' after being so damn annoying yesterday?
He waved his hand as he left. And I went to Haru with a smug grin on her face.
"So you ask me about the new student and now you're talking to him?"
"Um.. yeah it was just a coincidence that I bumped into him." As I walked into class- oh I forgot on Tuesdays I see Kiyoshi because he goes to the same classes as me; Economics and Philosophy. As I sat in my seat I could see him glaring at me across my the classroom. I guess he was curious about that boy that I bumped into to earlier. I'll tell him later it was nothing.

Time skip to end of the school day ((I didn't feel like writing about school. Sorry if you wanted to hear abt it tho))

As everyone let the classroom it was only me and Kiyoshi as we packed our things away.
"So, who's that guy?" He asked.
F: "Oh he's just the new student that's all."
K: "Why did you talk to him?"
f: "It's because I just bumped into him that's all."
He just rolled his eyes to the side before picking up his bag and leaving me in an empty classroom. I hurriedly packed my things before rushing outside too. The cold air howled around, my body quivering like a deer before a hunter.
"Oh hey Fuyuka." Haru waved her hand as she stood next the school gate quivering like a leaf.
"What's up Haru?" I said as I began walk towards her.

"Can I come over at your place? My cousins are staying the night in and they're annoying."
"Sure but you'll have to sleep on the floor."
"Honestly anything works now Fuyuka."
I chuckled at Haru's discouragement before walking out of school bounds and onto the icy pavement that was painted with snow.
"It's literally like a freezer out here." She quickly put her gloves on.
"Yeah, happy Christmas?" I said nearly slipping on melted snow. Haru bursted out laughing when I fell on the ground. I had to hold on the wall to get up.
"Hah, are you going ice-skating Fuyuka?" she joked and helped me up before we both fell onto the ice. Euphoric laughter escaped both of our mouths as we laughed while desperately trying to get up. In the end we had to cling onto the wall to walk carefully making sure that we didn't slip again. An old woman and man stared at us with a mix of perplexed expressions.
"At this point we're never making to your house."
"Pft- talk about it."

After of what seemed like a decade we arrived to my house, digging through my bag I finally found the house key and opened the door.
"Kiyoshi? Are you home?" I said as I stepped into the house cupping my hands around my mouth. Haru walked in right behind me glancing around inside.
"Haru wait here, and can you close the door?" I asked before going upstairs to change my outfit.
"Yeah sure." she replied back closing the door imprisoning the icy wind outside. She laid on the couch waiting for me as she took her phone out; scrolling and looking through something. I came to my room upstairs and closed the door before changing into my casual clothes. I came out of the room before peeking into Kiyoshi's room: he was there just sleeping. I chuckled softly to myself before creeping downstairs trying not to wake him.
"Haru! I'm back." I stated before taking a seat right next to her.
"Do you need any clothes?" As I said that a grin spread across her face.
"I came prepared!" she said as if it seemed like the girl had brought her entire room.
"I got my hairbrush, toothbrush, hair bands, clothes, other clothes if we wanna go out."
"When did you get the time to do that?" I replied stifling a laugh.
"Last night, my parents thought I was going to run away."
"Pft- what did you tell them?"

Time-skip to night!

"It's getting late Haru let's go to sleep." I said as I placed a mattress for Haru to sleep on.
H: "Yeah sure."
F: "Don't pull an all-nighter though we have school tomorrow!"
H: "Yeah yeah sure mum."
I turn the lights off and get into my bed before Haru starts talking again.
H: "Why can't we do an all-nighter?"
F: "Because Kiyoshi is sleeping."
H: "I forgot you had a brother."
F: "Shut up."
H: "Good night."
F: "Yeah, good night Haru." I could hear her snoring. Gosh how did she sleep this quickly? I looked up at the ceiling. My eyes felt as heavy as lead. They slowly closed. Only darkness can be seen. Good night.
