2 days later

They continue to walk, their pace getting slower as they lose more energy.

But there has to be somewhere, surely.

After a while of walking they see a shed with lights on it in the distance.

"Look! we must be nearby somewhere cause someone's added lights to that shed over there! Come on!"

Jess and Lucia run towards the shed and open the door.

"Holy shit."

There's shelves stocked with small bits of food, a medpack, and some weapons.

"Dude...we have to take this!"

"What? No way this obviously belongs to somebody! i can't steal" lucia says

"We have to! This could save our lives"

"You go ahead, but i already ate earlier, i'm not stealing." She folds her arms and stands outside round the side of the shed.

Jess pulls her backpack off and puts most of the stuff in, leaving a tiny bit for whoever left all this.

"Lucia maybe god is real" she chuckles

But she hears a clunk sound outside.

"Lucia?"

She quickly puts her backpack on and walks outside.

"Luce?"

She hears crunching snow next to her and when she turns, she's knocked unconscious onto the ground.

"Get em onto the horses, quickly"

"Yes ma'am"

Jess slowly wakes up at least an hour later, she blinks as she tries to adjust to her surroundings.

She goes to sit up after a minute of laying down but feels something tug her back down.

She looks to her arm and sees a piece of black tape poorly wrapped around her wrist.

"i see you're awake finally?"

She almost jumps out of her skin but then calms down, she looks to her left and sees a ginger haired woman sat on a chair nearby.

"Where am i?"

"Our town, i'm the leader here"

"Not again"

"Again?"

"My friends and i, a while ago were forced into some town, with a shitty excuse for a woman as their leader, i lost two of my friends because of it"

"Sorry to hear that"

"It's fine, it's over now"

"Well, you won't have to deal with that again, alright? unless you try and fuck with us, you'll have nothing to worry about" she smiles

Jess stares at her blankly for a few seconds "okay"

"I mean it, you aren't a threat are you?"

"Depends"

"Honesty, fair enough"

"Where's lucia" she asks

"The other girl?"

"Yeah"

"She's fine, she woke up earlier than you so she should be up and walking around now"

"No thanks to the shovel"

"Just safety precautions"

"You hit me in the face with a shovel"

"Like i said, safety precautions" the woman responds.
