Chapter 3

Today was the day of the auditions, Ann had already left to go to her part time job at the café round the corner. You got dressed and ready, you were so nervous your hands were shaking. You sighed and left you dorm heading for the auditorium. 

You sat down on your own waiting to be told your instructions. Quite a few people filed in, not helping your nerves knowing you had a lot of competition. You took a deep breath in and a deep breath out, you just had to focus on singing, all that matters is that you enjoy yourself, right? Right. A boy walked onto the stage and told everyone the terms of the audition. The song you had to prepare was Since You Been Gone by Kelly Clarkson luckily you knew that song quite well so practicing wouldn't be as bad.

-Timeskip to the actual audition-

First on was a pretty girl who sung beautifully her name was Cynthia but you knew you should push those thoughts away. What you were thinking was wrong. That's what everyone else said. 

After a few more people went it was your turn, you tried not to look nervous you played with your fingers a bit but it was barely noticeable.

"Hi. I'm y/n"

you waved and smiled the ginger girl sat near the front smiled back and nodded signifying that you could start singing. You took a deep breath in and began to sing. Your singing was good you knew you could've done better but the nerves got to you, however you still did better than some of the other people.

After auditions you left to your dorm excited for the results now all you could do is wait.
