Gathering

''Will the other clans like me?''

Pine paw asked nervously, ''Of course they will.'' Brown nose purred, ''I remember my first gathering too.'' 

Pine paw perked her ears, ''What was it like?'' She asked. 

''Perfect, I met some of my best friends there.'' He entered the clearing,

He padded forward, His apprentice hot on his heels. ''Trout paw, Rabbit paw?'' He asked.

The tom turned around to face him, ''Oh Brown paw!'' He smiled. 

''Brown nose now,'' The brown tabby smiled. ''I am Trout muzzle now, This is Rabbit tail.'' Trout muzzle purred. 

''And that is..?'' Trout muzzle asked pointing his tail tip to the head poking out of Brown nose's fur,

He chuckled. ''This is my apprentice, Pine paw.'' He purred. 

The She cat stepped forward warily, ''H-Hi..'' She gulped. 

''These two are from Wind Clan,'' Brown nose smiled. 

Trout muzzle dipped his head, ''This is Owl paw.'' He flicked his tail tip to the tabby tom. 

''And this is Vole paw,'' Rabbit tail flicked her tail tip the the other brown tabby. 

Brown nose stretched, ''Can I go with Pine paw?'' Asked Owl paw. 

''Sure,'' Trout muzzle nodded. ''So this is your first time training an apprentice right,'' Brown nose tilted his head curiously. 

The familiar yowl of the gathering started rang, Brown nose turned curiously waiting of what Lichen star would say of Primrose paw. 

The deputy of Wind Clan stood on the tree, ''Our leader, Mellow star. Has passed away, I have taken his place as leader. My deputy, Is Murky pad. I am now Cinder star.'' He dipped his head in respect for the fallen leader,

Brown nose dipped his head also. Soon Ripple star stood. Brown nose couldn't help but snarl, And dig his claws into the sand. 

Trout muzzle and Rabbit tail looked at him, ''Thunder Clan is doing well. We have never been prouder,'' Lichen star scoffed loudly, Ripple star cocked his head towards him. 

Turtle star's tail raised, as he stood. ''River Clan has been blessed with five new apprentices, Ripple paw, Mouse paw, Cloud paw, And Grass paw. Along with a new warrior, Snake tooth.'' 

''Ripple paw! Mouse paw! Cloud paw! Grass paw! Snake tooth!'' The cats chanted, Lichen star stood. 

''Shadow Clan brings only little good news, Our apprentice. Primrose paw, Has been killed by Thunder Clan.'' Lichen star snarled, Shocked murmurs rippled threw the cats.

''Thunder Clan wouldn't have done such a thing!'' Ripple star snarled, ''Tell that to Primrose paws Poor neck!'' Lichen star scowled, Ripple star raised his haunches. 

Trout muzzle looked in shock at Brown nose, ''It was Sight tail who trespassed onto our territory, And Killed him!'' Lichen star dug his claws into the branch. 

The cats of the clans all shifted away from the Thunder Clan cats, ''Along with that. They attacked our camp last gathering, Leaving many of our warriors injured.'' This was the first time Brown nose saw Lichen star furious. 

Turtle star flattened his ears to his head, ''Star Clan has sent clouds.. This gathering is over!'' The River Clan leader yowled afraid. 

Brown nose called his apprentice over, ''I hope Reed paws okay, I remember how much he would talk about his brothers.'' Trout muzzle dipped his head. 

''Wind Clan will miss Primrose paw,'' Rabbit tail lay her tail on Brown nose's shoulder. before walking away, 

Brown nose walked with his clan mates, The bundle stayed quiet. Nobody shared whispers, Or murmurs. 

''What will Reed cloud say?'' Pine paw broke the silence, with a murmur. 

''Reed cloud will hear from Lichen star, I'm sure he'll have both of us guarding camp tonight.'' He sighed, 

''Will I be able to guard?'' She asked quietly, Looking at her paws. ''I'll ask, But I doubt he will. You only know few battle moves,'' 

Pine paw nodded. It took a few minutes to arrive, Once they did. Lichen star called a meeting. 

''Shadow Clan has confronted Thunder Clan, We may be at risk of being invaded. I will have ten cats guarding outside, five of them will be patrolling The Thunder Clan border until dawn.'' 

''Any volunteers?'' He asked, Brown nose raised his paws. Aspen fang, Rose storm, Sedge fur, Cream heart, And Cream sky. Raised their paws. 

''Very well, No apprentices will be guarding nor patrolling.'' He nodded, ''You leave now.'' He dismissed the meeting, But they were stopped by Pine paw and Hickory paw.

''Why can't we go with you?'' Pine paw frowned, ''Get to sleep.'' He licked her fore-head in farewell, Before setting off. 

The borders felt weird at night, Thunder Clans side was Erie. But no rustling whatsoever.

''I want Brown nose and Aspen fang on that side, And Rose storm and Sedge fur on that side. When I yowl, two of you come help me.'' She let out a stiff nod at the four.

Brown nose padded over to her spot, It had a great view of Thunder Clan territory. 

''Aspen fang,'' His gaze switched the black tom. ''Let's break this rivalry, It's gone on way to long.''

''Sure,'' Aspen fang shrugged. Brown nose waited watching The territory. 

''Do you see that?'' He pointed with his muzzle to the rustling, Then a patrol of Thunder Clan emerged. 

He watched as they waited to cross the Thunder Path, ''Thunder Clan!'' He yowled as they crossed mid-way. 

Brown nose dashed towards Creek heart and Cream sky, leaping over brush and sticks. 

Just then, He tackled Sight tail who was Mid-leap. Brown nose pinned him down, As Aspen fang fought Red paw. 

''Shadow Clan doesn't deserve to live!'' Sight tail snarled, Clawing at Brown nose's chest. 

Brown nose didn't reply, He lashed at the deputy's face. Letting his claw marks swell with blood. 

Sight tail clawed his belly, Brown nose sunk his teeth into the warriors neck. 

He was tackled by Fox tail, Who pinned Brown nose. He could feel Sight tail sink his teeth into his neck, 

Then swiftly, He could feel Fox tail's weight get pulled off him. As Sight tails teeth released, 

He looked as Reed cloud and Aspen fang clawed at them. Flame claw's body lay dead at the border. 

Creek heart was pinned, Spotted frost. The She cat was beautiful, Creek heart lashed the She cats eye brow. 

Spotted frost dug her claws into Creek hearts chest, Tears welling in her yellow eyes. 

Brown nose watched from the brush, curiously. ''Remember all those moons ago,'' The diluted calico started. 

''You, along with all the other Shadow Clan apprentices, Told me and Blizzard foot. That we were nothing! just scraps of Willowed fur's blood!'' She clenched her teeth. 

''My mother, Would have killed to say one last goodbye to us.'' She said under her clenched white teeth, 

''We were just appre-'' Creek heart was quickly cut off. ''Just apprentices? What apprentice would say such a thing, To two siblings who just lost their own mother!'' She dug her claws more into her chest. 

The calico's tears fell onto Creek hearts misty blue fur, ''It was in the past. I'm sorry for all that we said, It was wrong of us. Please, Make the right decision, Let go.'' Creek hearts words were full of sorrow. 

Spotted frost stared at Creek hearts green eyes, Brown nose was just about to think the She was going to refuse.

But, She stepped off Creek heart.
