Chapter One

Ranie Pov 
"Wake up,honey" I woke up on the voice of my mother

"I want go back to sleep please mum" I said trying to convince her to leave me alone ,but obviously I've failed

"Sorry honey but today is your first day of school you can't be late , now wake up " mum said before she left the room

I sighed and got out of bed i went to the bathroom , did my routine and went back to my room to wear my clothes

I am that kind of person who take hours to choose my clothes that's why I chose my outfit yesterday in order not to be late on my first day , i don't want to leave a bad impression.
I wore my skinny blue jeans that I bought last week and a pink tank top and my black leather jacket .
I wore my black converse then stood up to do my make up , honestly i didn't put alot of effort in it I just applied alittle mascara and a light-pink lipstick , I don't like those girls who put too much makeup they look to me like they are painted .

Anyway, I went downstairs to see mum and Ashton eating thier breakfast
Ashton is my older brother , he is older than me by two years , we are like every brother and sister we argue alot but I am sure that he is always there for me , he has my back and ready to do anything to make sure that I am safe and happy.
I sat down beside Ashton taking my breakfast and started eating it
"Good morning Ashton" I said while chewing on my food
"Good morning Ranie" he replied
"Ashton can you drive your sister to her school t?" Mum asked Ashton
He nodded as a reply , it sucks that I don't have my driving license yet , I don't mind Ashton driving me or anything , it's just a nice feeling to be able and drive yourself around , hopefully I would be able to get it soon .

"I wish you luck on your first day , have fun kids " mum said to us while she was kissing our cheeks then she walked out of the house to go to her work

We have moved to London last week because mum had a great promotion at her work , London nowdays is a place where vampires and other supernatural beings and human live together in peace and that explains why vampires go to my school
Honestly I am alittle bit afraid that I might get killed by one of them but I try to calm down and think that this is impossible . Hopefully
I am not a vamipre but actually I am not also a human......
I am one of the supernatural beings that have the same looks as humans but have superpowers at the same time and my special power is the abilty to read people's minds , no one knows about my superpowers except mum and Ashton , I prefered to keep it a secret because I think people may thing I am a freak , my mum is normal and my dad is normal ( although I've never seen him but my mum told me ) , Even Ashton is normal , I don't know how is that even possible That is why I am afraid to tell anyone it's just that they are gonna think that I am weird or something .

After we had finished breakfast , we went out to Ashton's car , the ride was quiet untill we arrived
Ashton looked at me and said " look Ranie I know that you are worried about your first day at school especially that there are vampires here "

"Who told you I was worried?" I said

He raised his eyebrows and said "I don't need superpowers like you to know what my little sister feels , I know you well Ranie "

I smiled at that he is right he have always know what I am thinking and how he can help me
"Don't worry Ranie , I will be there for you " he said then hugged me
I wrapped my hands around his neck and sighed
We went out of his car and with one last look he said " Good luck" then he walked and the other way

I really hope luck was on my side today , I needed it.
