Chapter Nine

Ranie POV.

Niall drove me home after we had stayed by the lake or some time then when he parked in front of my house , I turned to look at him he was smiling and he looked really happy

"thanks for today, it was amazing really Niall " I said smiling at him

"anytime, sunshine " he said looking at me , when I was about to get off the car I hard a car being parked behind Niall's car , when I got off I saw Ashton  looking  at me smiling slightly but I know my brother there is something bothering him before I can try and read his mind I remembered the promise he made me made one day that I was not allowed to read his mind because he wants is privacy sometimes and doesn't want to worry me about everything so I decided to wait until we are alone to ask him

"hey ,Ran" Ashton said hugging me , I hugged him back pressing my face in his chest , Ashton was always there for me that why I always feel at ease and peaceful when I am near him

"hey, bro , what's wrong ?" I asked him looking up to meet his eyes

"nothing Ranie I just need to talk to Niall for a minute so can you go to your room please " he asked me sternly , Ashton is not always that serious , actually most of the time he is fun to be around he likes to joke a lot but right now I really know that there is something important bothering him that much but what makes me confused how is that thing y  related to Niall ?

"Ashton, what do you want talk to Niall about ?, I am pretty much sure not about me because you have already done that so what now ?" I asked him raising my eyebrow

" I will tell you later but it's important Ranie , I have to talk to him and promise I will explain later okay?" Ashton said , and because I know my brother I know that he is too stubborn just like me so there is no way he is not talking to Niall right now but he promised and I really know that he will keep his promise to we , that what I hope actually , so I just nodded and looked behind me to se Niall standing behind us looking at us and the happy look on his face was gone replaced by seriousness once he saw Ashton and that made me more sure about my theory , so I just waved to him goodbye and went up to my room but I couldn't stop my self from thinking what are both of the hiding that is bothering them that much ?

ASHTON POV. (surprise:P)

After I made sure that she went inside the house I turned to Niall ,"did you tell her anything?"I asked Niall hoping that he would say no

"No, I didn't but I will have to tell her soon Ashton , I am terrified of her reaction but I don't want  to keep it hidden from her , it's killing me not telling her , she is my second half Ashton , I am really happy that I made a progress  here with her and I don't want to lose her and I don't know how her reaction will be after she knows  but from the short time that I knew her I know that she will be understanding she won't judge me because of mistakes which are not mine Ashton " Niall said , he sounded that he was in a battle inside his head weather to tell her and see her reaction to what he tells her , she might not take it very well actually or hide it from her as much as possible but when she know , I know that she may never forgive Niall for hiding it from her

"I know Niall , but imagine her reaction at me , she will be frustrated that I hid the truth from her all these yeas but I did this coz I know her very well " I smiled sadly looking at Niall "she is stubborn , she would try to do anything she can to help me , but I can not risk hers and mum's safety "I said looking at Niall whose eyes turned darker

"nobody is going to come near her Ashton as long as I  am alive , nobody will try and hurt her even if that meant that I had to kill him I will , she is my mate , my second half so no one will dare to come 5 foots near her " he said angrily

" I know Niall and I trust you with her , so do not let me down , she has a heart of gold " I said trying to calm down Niall

"that is true , she is one of her kind and she is really amazing " he said chuckling to himself I could see from his eyes how much he cares about my sister even if she gave him a hard time he will always be therefor her , I really wish to find my mate soon

"so Niall I have to warn you that we found out hat he is trying to attack soon and if he knew that my sister is your mate he is going to knock two birds with one stone so keep an eye on her " I told hi

"you don't need to tell me Ashton , I would do anything to make sure  she is safe "he replied "I have a question but promise me to not go all over protective brother over her , okay?" niall said carefully

"yeah , sure ask  " I  said casually

"has Ranie had her first kiss yet?" he said looking slightly nervous

"nope and you better not make any moves on my baby sister got it Horan?" I told Niall in the most fake indimating  tone I have , actually I wanted to laugh so bad at his expression when I told him 'nope' he sighed a sigh of relief and he was so happy hat he can have her all to himself

"oh my god that is a relief ,  I thought I had to kill that guy who had kissed her before me , thanks man, but I can't promise not to make anything about it " he said chuckling to him self

"Horan I swear to god if you ever hurt her  I will make sure to kill you myself got it ?" I said to him although I was sure he got the message earlier

"yeah sure Ash , Night" he sad before turning and riding away in his car

I entered the house and went straight into my room but before I could open my door Ranie called my name from the hallway so I turned to face her but I was really nervous to what to tell her , I hate lying to Ranie but I can not tell her now this will be so wrong really and I can not do this to her or to Niall

"yes ran"I replied smiling at her , ran is my nickname to her since we were kids and I am the only one that call her that actually

"Ashton you still have not told me , what's going on between you and Niall" she asked looking annoyed

"Ranie I was just making sure that he will treat you right and I was worried when I did not find you in school today I thought something happened so I just told him to warn me next time that all sweetheart " I said smiling softly at her ,  she really has no idea how much she means to me she is not only my sister , she is my best friend and my secret keeper so I would do anything to  keep her safe and happy even if it meant lying to her , I really hope one day she will understand

"Ashton you have to know that I am not a child and I am responsible enough to take care of my self so you don't have to worry , and Niall is a good guy "she said softly looking at me in the eyes trying to convince me

"good guy ,huh? I think someone finally has her first crush ?"I teased her whistling and of course her face turned every shade of red

"shut up Ashton okay ? "she said covering her face in her hands

"okay so can you tell me what happened between you two , just pretend that I am a girl so you can tel her all that mushy details which I have no idea about but it is good to get them all out sweet heart" I said winking at her which made her blush harder and I couldn't sop laughing actually

"ash , you are a jerk and remind me when you get a girlfriend I am going to tell her every embarssing story about you since the day you were born in " she said sticking her tongue out at me childishly

"that is not going to happen anytime soon don't worry ran "  I chuckled then turned around to enter my room I was happy to see Ranie this happy she really deserves it.
