The sound of birds chirping filled the eerily silent room. Glimpses of sunlight peaked through the slits of the curtains, filling the room with a dim soft light. A figure tossed and turned under the blankets, before eventually flinging it off themselves.

With a huff, the obsidian haired boy sat up in bed. He looked over at his clock that was perched on his nightstand. It read '6:12am'. He threw his legs off the side of the bed, sitting on the edge of his bed as he blankly stared ahead at his closed bathroom door. After a minute of empty staring, he finally got off his bed and made his way inside his bathroom.

Once he was fully awake and refreshed, he left out of the bathroom and entered his closet, changing into his uniform unhurriedly. The boy grabbed his school bag before leaving out and went over to his nightstand, grabbing his phone, as well as his house key and stuffed them both inside his bag. Then he slipped on his shoes before leaving out of his room, heading downstairs.

Upon entering the kitchen, the younger boy was able to see Petra who was busy packing their lunches, while Mysta set their breakfast down onto the table. As he took the seat next to his grey haired brother, Petra came over to them with their lunches, handing the respective ones to them. The both of them thanked her before putting it in their bags and began eating their breakfast. Petra doing the same.

After a while the three of them got finished eating and Shu quickly washed their dirty dishes, then they left out of the house, heading to school. Soon they arrived at school along with Reimu and Nina, who'd they met by coincidence on the way. The five of them went inside the school and changed into their school shoes, then started heading towards the class buildings while wrapped into two different conversations.

They all split up going into their respective buildings. Shu and Petra split ways once they had gotten to the second floor, the older girl going upstairs while he walked down the hall to his class. After pushing past numerous people, the obsidian haired boy made it to his classroom and wasted no time going inside.

Walking over to his seat, he realized that none of his friends were there which indicated that they hadn't made it to school yet. He sat down letting out a long sigh, though a minute later he saw someone approaching him from the corner of his eye. He turned to look at the person and saw a dark skinned girl with black curly hair that stopped just above her waist, big round brown eyes, long flattering eyelashes, a small button nose, and plump lips that were coated in a light pink colored lipstick. She also seemed to be around the height of 5'3.

Shu recognized her. This was Lena Bellinick. She was a quiet girl, so quiet that people often tend to forget she's still in the class, she's extremely smart, she's nice and polite but she's also very very shy and gets flustered easily.

❝Hello, did you need something?❞ Shu asked, smiling politely.

She fidgets with the hem of her skirt, trying to calm herself down and spoke in a soft low voice. ❝I'm sorry to bother you Shu but... I was wondering if you could accompany me to the cafeteria, so I can get a snack from the vending machine. I hope you don't think this is weird, it's just that you're the only person in here right now that I feel comfortable with. It's fine if you don't want to.❞

❝Sure.❞ He answered and stood up.

Lena smiled thanking him. Then the two of them left out of the classroom and headed towards the staircase, walking side by side in a comfortable silence.

They walked out of the building and took the path to the left side in order to head to the cafeteria.

❝So Shu, how was your morning so far?❞ Lena asked.
