Octavia was always a curious girl who could not resist the lure of the forest. She had spent many a summer afternoon in Stapleford woods, not only because it was close to Islebury, but exploring its dark alleys, and hidden spaces. But one day, she found something unexpected... A shining silver chain lay scattered through the grass, and her tiny footprints sparkled amongst the shiny red trail.
"What could it be?" Octavia thought.
A little nervous and curious at the same time, she decided to follow her instincts.
...and those instincts payed off!
She found to what seemed to be her mothers old necklace. She smiled with glee, hugging it tightly as she scurried back home to the house.
"Octavia!! What's that honey?" Techno was curious to see the object she found while exploring. As he held the necklace and popped the brooch open he was...shocked to see her old father in the picture. He felt uncomfortable, but he handed it to her.
Octavia looked at the picture and froze... it showed a picture of her father...no not techno...HIM.
She started tearing up, vision becoming blurry as the memories came back to her like an old movie. She looked down...clutching the necklace in her hands, knuckles turning white. Techno and Tommy both felt very concerned, as they heard her crying.
Techno immediately went over to her, as he grabbed her and cuddled her in his arms. "Bud, no, no, no, no, no, no, no."
He held his daughter close to him, as he gently rubbed her hair behind her ear. "Papa's here, bud. Papa's here for you."
Tommy was now next to Technoblade, and he looked like he wanted to comfort Octavia too. "It's okay, bud." Tommy said softly. "Please don't cry...we know he was a bad man, but he's gone..."Octavia felt more better...the comfort given was something she needed.
Just then...the sky turned gray...as the truths were discovered. They sat together in the shadows of the tree in the midnight sky...Octavia smiling as she tried to count the stars.
"Papa!! Let's count the stars!!" She tried again and again, but no sight of answer for the stars...
"Papa?"
"Yes dear?"
She smiled turning to him.
"It's hard to count these stars"
He chuckled before wrapping her arm around his daughter.
"Don't worry my dear...no matter how many there are, I'd give you all the stars."
