Prologue
"Abhigyan, please stop," I gasped, chasing after him.
I grabbed his hand, but with a sudden jerk, he pulled away. The next moment, I found myself pinned against the wall, his grip causing me pain.
With teary eyes and a trembling body, I managed to say, "Abhigyan, it's hurting-g"
His hold loosened after my words, and he said coldly with a blank expression, "Why are you acting like everything's normal? Stop this."
"I'm sorry, Abhi, but please—" I was cut off by his harsh words. "Stop calling me that, Aashna Malhotra. You lost all those rights."
"Can we just talk this out like we used to, please?" I asked, wiping my tears.
He scoffed at my words and replied with a smile, "Talk it out? We're past that point. You chose to cross that bridge a long time ago, and I destroyed it the moment you crossed it." With that, he walked toward his car.
"I'll rebuild every fucking bridge on this damn Earth if it means I can have you back," I said to myself, wiping my tears, and followed him to his car.
