There are good reasons to fight and then there are not so good reasons. For some odd reason I rarely fight for the good ones. I mean I've gotten in between a bully and the victim way more than my fair share of time. But I've also gotten in fights for dumb reasons. I've fought over girls before. I'm pretty good at it though.

So I'm Jason Bane and I know I'm an asshole. I'm a player, I'm arrogant as hell, and I constantly harass posers and pretentious hipsters. But I will also walk to hell and back for my friends, and I never mess with anyone weaker than me. I'm a lot of things, but a bully isn't one. I hate bullies. They disgust me.
Anyway the reason why I'm talking about fights is because I'm currently about to engage in one. It all started when the school bully, a guy named Luke, started to mock and stove this tiny guy named Blake. I couldn't resist stopping him. "Hey Jason what are you gonna do about it?" Luke spits out as he lunged at me. I laugh as I easily throw him on the ground.

"I think my little cousin can fight better than you." He gets more and more angry as I continue to mock him. Luke fights like a stupid bull. He keeps trying to tackle me and missing. Dumb football players. I get bored mocking him, so I punch him as hard as I can in the side of his head as he lunges toward me again. Luke trips over his feet and takes a header. I tell Blake to run, but Luke stays on the ground. I shake my head before walking away. My best friend Will runs up to me

"Lane why do you always have to step in?" "It's not my fault he's addicted to picking on weak people." Will just shakes his head at me. Will and I don't have much in common. I'm tall and lean compared to his shortness and stockyness. My hair is a dark black, and his a brown that is a few shades lighter. Girls have told me I have the first brown eyes that they've ever liked before, because the closer you are the lighter my eyes look. I'm Greek, so my skin is a dark olive.

"Mr. Lane!" I hear the principal call out after me. "Blake explained to me what happened. Don't worry you're not in trouble. I swear sometimes I don't know what to think about you." Good I get boring when people have me figured out.

"Jason Remember we have that end of the season party tonight for hockey." Will reminds me as we walk to our dorm. I grunt in response and collapse on my bunk. Mocking an idiot really tires me out. Will wakes me up yelling "FIRE" in my ear. I shove him as we're leaving the dorm.

"There aren't gonna be girls at this party, is there?" Will shakes his head at me. " It's a good thing I love hockey."

When we get to the party the captain of the team is standing up in front of everyone. He gives us the normal speech about how we had such a great season-- we only lost three games-- and then some other stuff, but I kinda zoned out. Then Coach Bane introduces a new kid named Riley, whose going to be on the team next year. He seemed pretty chill.

After Coach was done talking we all had pizza and soda. I started talking to Riley. He was a nice guy who was pretty funny, but wouldn't stop texting this girl. He rejected my proposition to teach him how to get girls, because and I quote "He had a girlfriend." Even if he is kind of lame, he's cool enough to be friends with me. "Let me just warn your , I'm kind of an asshole." He laughs and tells me as long as I don't mess with his girl, I'll be cool.

Coach Lane tells me I'm supposed to show some new student around tommorow. I've done it before, because apparently my boarding school thinks I'm a model student. . Atleast sometimes the new students are pretty girls. I can't Remember what he said her name was... Clary I think.
The party is starting to die down, so Will and I leave before I can throw someone in the lake. It wouldn't be my first time... I'm kind of impulsive.
I go to bed wondering who I'm going to be showing around, and hoping she's a pretty girl.
Will and I have a tradition of using pranks to wake each other up. This morning he got up first so he flipped my mattress. This is pretty mild for us considering I once  carried him outside when he was asleep and left him in the quad.
After we had  breakfast I go to meet this new student I'm showing around in the office. When I see her, I lose my breath a little bit. She's easily the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. Tall, long auburn hair, and green  eyes. She has the reddest hair I've evern seen, and it's not the unattractive carrot orange. Her face is sprinkled with freckles.   I can't wait to show her around campus! ... I should probably learn her name.
