Chapter 6: The day

I woke up stil cuddled to Brian. "Hey Brian. Love you big brother." I sleepily said. "Love you too little sister." He replied to me. I got up and was really sore. But I loved the feeling. During last night's sex sesion I had spanged my anckle, so I had troble standing and walking. Brian came over and heled me get dressed like he did when I had my accident. After we got me dressed and my shoes on; well one shoe my right foot was wrapped up; we walked outside. I was wearing a dress that went to five inches unde my knees, it had a brown belt that went around my stomach. Brian was helping me walk because of my anckle. The twins ran over too me and hugged me. God I am glad I have them. Since I have lost Mary I have been really upset, but I don't let it show because everyone will treat me like I going to kill myself. Always asking if I am ok and watching me all the time. But you can't blame me I just lost my daughter yesterday. "Good morning my sweet babies." I coed at the twins. They just giggled. The guys were ready and were waiting for me to leave and get Merle. "Guys I can't go." I informed them. "Why not." Daryl asked. "She spranged her anckle possibly broke it. She can't walk or run if need be." Brian told them. Daryl looked at me then at my foot and realized he did it. Shame was all over his face. I was glowing because of what we did so I was not sad about it. I wobbled over to Daryl and hugged him. "I'm ok and will be fine Dar. Go find Merle." Then surprising everyone but Brian, Anna, the twins, Tommy, and Dom; I kissed Daryl. "Stay safe all of you." I ordered the men that were leaving. I wobbled to all of them and hugged them, then told Rick to watch out and take care of my best friend Glenn. "Thanks." Glenn mumbled sarcasticly, which caused all of us to laugh. As they left I sat down at a table and got the twins school books. "Wait you can teach." Lori and Carol asked me at the same time. I just nodded my head yes. I waved my hand at Carl and Sophia to motion them over to me. I sat them down and started to teach. I heard quiet thanks from the elder children's mothers. An hour later I see Carol crying and caring for Ed. "Kids you finish your homework. I'm going to help Ed." I told them. I ran to Carol and Ed and dragged them to their tent. With me being a doctor I used my skills and nursed beat up Ed. "Ed what happened?" I questioned. "Everyone thought I was going to hit Carol again. I wasn't going to do that Carol. It your birthday today and I wanted to ask you to forgive me and give you a present. When I slapped you back there it was a slip up. I acted that way because I don't want them to thank I am weak. Aries has put me in my place for doing everything I have done to you and she has been helping me with my attitude." Ed explained to Carol. I could see here crying and she looked at me to see if it was real. I just nodded my head and watched as Ed gave her the present he got for her birthday. It was a beautiful silver bracelet. "Ed you still didn't tell me what happened to you and why I am using my medical skills on you." I said angrily. "Shane." Carol whispered softly. I was so pissed of I ran out of the tent to find Shane. I saw everyone on the hill above us so I made my way up there. I heard Lori say that Ed was hurting his wife. "No he wasn't. All of you think Ed is a bad man but he isn't. He is troubled and has problems. He wasn't going to hurt Carol, it is her birthday today and he was going to ask for her forgiveness and know that she is to good for him. He also risked his life trying to get her a beautiful silver bracelet for her birthday. Ed is changing for the better. Hell he helped with my daughters funeral when Mary's own father didn't do shit." I screamed. Everyone looked at me in shock. "Oh so just because your husband didn't help with the funeral you leave him for Daryl?" Lori bitchily asks. "No I left him for me. Yes me and Daryl did some things but I was weak. I am not with Daryl or Dom. I am a mother before I am woman. And how dare you talk to me about cheating on my husband when you have been screwing Shane. And before you say you thought he was dead you still should have not fucked his best friend. Unlike you I would not do that and at least I told my husband. I was hurting and Daryl was there. And I know how that feels but I would have stopped if it was his best friend. I might be cruel but not that cruel." I told the bitch off. They all looked shocked that I actually did that. I walked off and finished teaching the kids. Andrea and Amy had caught some fish and Carol cooked it. I told Ed he needed some rest, so he was asleep in his tent. Dinner was finally done, so we started eating. Amy had needed to the rest room, so she left. Then we heard Amy scream and when we looked over she had been bitten by a walker.
