As the summer days began to wane, the excitement of a new school year filled the air. The sound of school bells echoed through the neighborhood, signaling the end of carefree days and the beginning of a new chapter. For the Johnson family, this year held the promise of fresh experiences, new friends, and exciting opportunities. It was time to embark on their back-to-school adventure.

The first day of school arrived, bringing a mixture of nerves and anticipation for everyone.

Laura's POV
I had just woken up and I walked down the hall to wake up my three kids. Once they were all up, I went downstairs and started to make breakfast. Once I was finished all three of the kids came downstairs. Emery shared her excitement for the new school year before anyone else could. I smiled at her and let Lucas and Rylee talk. Once the kids finished with their breakfast, they finished getting ready and I took a few pictures. Before we walked out the door we made sure we had everything and left.

Rylee's POV
As I walked through the school gates, the familiar sights and sounds of the schoolyard greeted me. I watched the kids hustle over to reuniting with old friends and making new ones creating an atmosphere of excitement. Entering the classroom, the walls adorned with colorful decorations and motivational posters, I found an empty desk and eagerly awaited the arrival of their classmates. The room filled with laughter and chatter as more students trickled in, each with their own stories of summer adventures. The teacher, with a warm smile, introduced themselves, setting the tone for what would surely be an engaging and enlightening year. Throughout the day, I had to navigate my class schedule, moving from one subject to another, meeting new teachers, and encountering different teaching styles. Each classroom had its unique ambiance, from the science lab filled with intriguing experiments to the art room bursting with creativity. The corridors were alive with the sounds of lockers opening and closing, and the aroma of freshly sharpened pencils filled the air.

Lunchtime proved to be a highlight of the day. The cafeteria buzzed with energy as students walked up to grab their favorite meals. I found myself a spot at a table, surrounded by friendly faces. Conversations flowed, laughter echoed, and soon they realized that this was not just a place to eat but also a space to bond and forge new friendships.

Laura's POV
It was the end of the day and I was on my way to pick up the kids from school. I picked up Rylee, then, Lucas, then Emery. On the ride home I asked all the kids how their day was. And if you guessed it, Emery had to tell me first all about her day. She never failed to make anyone laugh. When she stop talking, she let her siblings start talking. As we arrived home, all the kids hopped out the car and went to their rooms. I walked down to the mailbox and checked the mail. I grabbed it was inside and walked into the house. I was met by my lovely husband, Sean. He walked up to me and gave me a kiss on cheek and asked me how the ride was. We started a small conversation before I started to make dinner.

Rylee's POV
Once I walked into my room. I set my backpack now and sat in my desk chair. I picked up my journal that was sitting on my desk and a pen. I started to journal how my day was. I was pretty satisfied with today. Once I finished that I picked up my phone because it is ringing. It was my best friend and picked up and we started talk about today. I laughed pretty much everything she was saying. When our conversation was over, I hung up and I headed to eat dinner.

Emery's POV
After dinner was done I went upstairs to my room and started to play. I grabbed my favorite Barbie and walked over to my Dreamhouse. I played till I heard a knock on the door. I got up to go get the door and saw my mom. She told me that I needed to get in the shower. I nodded my head and closed the door getting ready for my shower. After I got out I turned on the tv and started to watch big city greens. I loved the show because it was so funny. I looked at my clock and realized it was 8:15. I started to get ready for bed by brushing my teeth and washing my face. After I finished I climbed in bed and waited for my mom do come tuck me in. Once she did I fell asleep.

Everyone in the Johnson family decided to go to bed.
