It was by some miracle that Emery beat cancer. From last week talking about hospice to this week being able to hit the bell. I was filled with tears of joy while I watched my little girl, walked down the hall and hit the bell, while all the nurses clapped for her. I knew that my baby girl could do it. There's not a single speck of cancer in her body. I hail the miracle to Jesus, because I believe that he listened to my prayers and help my little girl. I watched my little girl, ran up to me after hitting the bell. She threw her arms around me and cried tears of happiness. I held her and hugged her.Emery's POV
I was filled with tears of joy as I hit the bell, meaning that I beat cancer. I was so happy that my journey had finally come to an end. I'm going to miss my favorite stuff at the hospital. I'm so happy that I can be able to be a normal kid and spend time with my family. I asked my mom since I cancer we could go to family trip. She told me wherever I want to go we could go. I decided on going to Hersheypark with my family. It was the best day ever. A huge weight has been lifted off my mom and I can see it the way she acts. Once we arrived home, we all went to bed the next day I woke up and I asked my mom a question. " hey mom, can we bake cookies for all the doctors and stuff that helped me at the hospital? She gave me a big smile and nodded her head so we started making chocolate chip cookies. While they baking the oven, I made cards for all my favorite staff. I was really sad to be leaving Miss Summers. She was my favorite staff, and always knew how to make me smile and laugh at all. I was in the hospital. Once we finished all the batches of cookies, we bagged them up and we drove to the hospital. I handed them all out. I was receiving hugs from all the people. I saved the best for last, Miss Summers. I walked up to her cookies. " Thank you for everything you did for me and my family. I will never forget you. You made my worst stays at the hospital the best days. I don't know how me and my family would ever be with repay you." I was overcome with emotion and crying. Miss Summers wrapped her arms around me and comforted me. I felt a tear hit my head, and I smiled. Once I pulled away, I gave her a tight squeeze and listen to what she had to say.
" You're so very welcome Emery. You were one of my favorite patients and one of the easiest patients. You don't have to repay me. It's my job to keep all the kids happy and healthy. I'm going to miss you a lot." I wiped away my own tears. I smiled at Emery and her mom."We have one teeny surprise for you." my mom handed me the wrapped present. In a huge envelope. I handed them to Miss Summers. She gave me a confused look, but I plastered a big smile on my face and told her to open the gifts. She opened the wrapped present, and gasped at what she seen. Miss Summers and I always took pictures together. I took her favorite picture and had it painted. And on the back, I wrote my name, and a nice paragraph for her. She opened the envelope. She started to scream when she seen it was in the envelope. She walked towards me with tears streaming on her face and threw her arms around me. I hugged her back, while my eyes started up with tears. Inside the envelope was a check. it had $1000 in it and even if that was something she could make in her one workday it meant a lot because we had to repay her back. She kept saying thank you. I said, of course, and hugged her. I finished hugging her. I gave her one big wave and I left the hospital handing hand in hand with my mom. I was sad that my adventures were ending in the hospital but I knew that new adventures were ahead. I waved to the hospital. Then I ran to catch up with my mom. That part of my story was over, and it was time to make a new story.
The End!
