(✿^‿^)
keqing slipped on her socks, re-checking everything in her backpack to make sure she was ready. then, she went out the front door. fresh air blessed her face, it had been raining in the very early morning so everything was wet. somehow it enhanced the beauty of the flowers, in her opinion.
the bus came late, however, and it was mostly full. because of this she ended up standing right next to the door. quite unfortunately, a group of rowdy boys were also nearby, casually punching eachother. one of them was hit a little too hard, he fell backwards, scrabbling to get up. just then, the vehicle turned sharply. the corner of the boy's shoe collided with keqing's shin.
"ow..," she muttered, not to his hearing. her socks went to her knees, though, so it was probably nothing. keqing silently waited until the bus reached her destination.
the bus announced the correct station after a few minutes of staring blankly at the clock on her phone screen. she exited and made her way to the school building, limping slightly because her shin still hurt.
arriving, she entered her classroom and placed her bag at an aisle chair in the middle area of desks. she was early so there was no one else in the room. keqing unzipped her backpack and started carefully setting her supplies out on the table.
"we meet again," you said in a dramatic, film-like manner. "same class, huh?" you step through the doorway. not through the door, though, because that would be physically impossible.
keqing wondered if she should be excited about this new development. "hi, i suppose we are."
"i thought about what you said. and i still have no idea. where do i know you from?"
('junoirs contest by stars granted!!', read the flyers shoved into the back of your closet. you had found it after 2-3 business days of scouring every place it could possibly be. on the back were notes, specifically mentioning the placings of your(?) opponents in the competition. some of it was crossed out in gel pen.
you squinted. none of them could be recognized.)
keqing laughed, covering the mouth with the back of her hand. her hair, neatly tied up, swayed as she moved. "i was supposed to be your competitor.. it didn't turn out that way, though."
you forgot about most of your teammates. really, anyone involved. the only person you really remembered was the head of the opposing team, and even then the angled face was all that stuck.. oh and that face he kept sneering and trying to intimate everyone. what was up with that? you were thinking so hard your eyes drifted into space and you could make out the shapes of a phone screen with the words "Wattpad" on it and a certain person shining through, as though a reflection. anyway.
as you contemplated these mysteries, an incident occurred suddenly: a tall, big and fluffy dark-colored dog raced into the room at top speed..!? it was adorable, but still, odd, what was a huge dog doing running around in a prestigious school such as this?? you reached down to pet it and it almost knocked you over.
