Dear Journal,
Life is getting so complicated by the days. It's been a while since we last talked but just to fill you in, Jack and Cameron got into this huge fight at the mall last night. They just won't give up. And honestly Journal, it doesn't even feel like they're fighting over me, but just fighting. Now that I'm Jack's tutor, it's making it harder to do anything with Cameron, especially when one of the guys keep bringing him up. I don't know what to do Journal, and the only one I can go to.

It's kinda hard to eat your bacon and eggs in the morning when you have an overdramatic mother right beside you 'weeping', as if she lost her daughter-I take that back. It's not that she lost me, but doesn't know how to keep me.
"I don't need you waiting Mom, Cam will be here any minute."
"I know sweetie, I'm just waiting for morning talk show to come on, and it should be on soon." She said going in the kitchen. ***Dramatic doesn't even explain her behavior. Finally Cameron arrived to pick me up. I felt bad after realizing I always leave my mom like this when Cameron comes, but it couldn't be as worse than last night.
"Good morning Madison." Cameron said kissing my cheek. ***"Good morning Ma'am." He said shaking my mother hand.
"Good morning Cameron, I heard about last night. Are you okay, dear?" Mother said concerned.
"Yeah, I just wanted to protect Madison." He said wrapping his arm around me.
"And I thank you for that dear."
"Ma'am?" Cameron said looking at her hand. "I notice you're wearing a ring?"
"Oh yes, dear. Isn't it lovely? Madison's father and I are-"
"Are you freaking serious?" I said interrupting her. "You so fine with telling Cameron, but you couldn't tell me--your own daughter? How sick are you?" I said grabbing Cameron's hand.
"Madison!"
I slammed the door before she could continue.
•
"Cam, I'm so sorry about this morning. My mother's just-"
"It's okay, I understand." I'll meet up with you later babe." He said kissing my cheek.
As he was leaving, Carter was arriving; he looked hopeless. Although, that's starting to be his natural look if you ask me.
"Mads, I need your help looking for a history book in the library, think you can help me out?"
"Sure Carter."
Arriving in the library, we saw Macy, Tess, and the other cheerleaders laughing on their phones. I don't understand how they never get in trouble for anything, but I guess that's a perk of being a cheerleader.
"Oh Madison! Over here!" Tess said gesturing for me to go to their table. Carter and I walked over to Tess, but I had a feeling I would regret it.
"Madison, I'm so sorry about Cameron-he got beat up pretty bad."
"Tess, I don't have time for this." I said walking away.
"But wait, don't you want to see my video?" She said gesturing for me to come back. It was Jack and Cameron's fight.
***"Tess, I cannot believe you! You're just immature and sick !" I snapped at her.
***"But of course, if it was Jack who was getting knocked down, you wouldn't have a problem with it." She says admiring her manicure.
"That's not it Tess, it's you thinking you can do whatever you want to whoever you want."
"Oh relax Madison, girls just want to have fun." Macy said.
"Oh shut up Macy. I can't believe I ever dated you." Carter said yelling.
"Yeah, you're totally right, but who was left more broken from the breakup: me or you?" Macy aid laughing. Both cheerleaders were both jerks.
"C'mon Carter, let's leave these sickening people." I said as we left the library.
"Mads, thanks."
"For what, Carter?"
"Well, despite me being your third-wheel to the extreme, you've been by my side since the breakup. I just wanted to thank you for that."
"It's okay." I said hugging him. "That's what friends are for. I know you really miss Matt."
***"I do. But I'm independent now. Besides, he's related to Jack."
"Yeah," I said, remembering I has to tutor him tonight. "Too bad."
•
After school, Cameron came over to my house to watch some Netflix. He really liked "Orange is the New Black".
"Hey Cam, it's almost time for us to go." I said, my hand stroking his hair.
"Yeah, my mom wants me home for dinner, and you have to tutor Jack. Maybe I should go."
"What? Cam, that'll be too distracting for him. He needs to focus. C'mon, I'm not going for him, I'm going to go see Matt."
"Cameron, please. At least not tonight. You guys are at the greatest stage of your friendship-"
"Friendship?" Cameron said interrupting with disgust.
"Okay, relationship, bond-whatever. Just don't ruin this."
"Why do you care so much?"
"I don't. I really don't."
•
"Thanks for dropping me Cam, and thanks for understanding."
"It's my pleasure. Just don't have too much fun. I'll pick you up in an hour and a half."
"Two hours. We has a lot to go over."
"Okay Babe." Cameron said starting the car and leaving.
As I entered Jack's house, the first thing I saw was Matt on the couch in PJs watching "Looney Tunes". How cute.
"Uhm, Matt?" I said getting his attention.
"Oh!" He said cutting the TV off. "Hey Mads. You're here to tutor Jack?"
"Yeah, are you still a little kids?" I said joking.
"Madison, you're never too old for "Looney Tunes".
Jack's room looked completely different from before. There were chocolate covered strawberries, candles, and his room looked so tidy and organized. If I didn't know better, I'd think that Jack believes this is a study date.
"Jack? What have you done with your room?"
"You like it?" He said joyfully.
"Why don't we focus on what's important." I said getting the textbooks out. Hopefully, this goes well.
•
"Mads, can we take a break? It's been forty minutes of torture."
"Well I did tell you we have a lot of work to do. We can't stop now, Jack."
"Madison please. My brain is pounding." He said dramatically falling to the floor, head first.
"Okay. A quick five minute break and that's it!" I said giving in. "But we should just stay up here. I believe Matt is probably still down there watching "Looney Tunes"."
"You're probably right." he said laughing. "So let's just stay up here.""Okay. Then what are we gonna do?"
"Well, I wanted to clear my name and apologize for what happened before. I'm a changed person, and I'm sorry for beating up Cameron. I don't know what shocked me more: the fact that I did it, or the fact that I defeated him."
"I forgive you. I just think you two should stay away from each other. Far away from each other."
"Cool, cause now I was thinking we could get to know each other." Jack said lighting one of the candles.
"Uh, Jack. What are you doing?" I said scooting farther away from him.
"Nothing really. I just feel like, you have to do what you think is right." He said getting closer.
"And what would that be?" I said anxious and nervous.
"This-" In an instant, Jack was pressing his against mine.
"Madison?" Cam said, standing outside the room.
•"Cameron! What are you doing here?" I said blushing from embarrassment.
"What am I doing here? The question is why were your lips on his? ***Madison, how could you do this?"
"First off, you're the one who went against my back and came here after I told you not to."
"I came to see Matt, not to watch your boring tutoring, which I'm sure you two weren't doing anyway."
"Cameron, you're blowing this out of proportion. What happened was-"
"I don't need to know what happened. I'm out of here." Cameron said leaving.
"Cam, wait!" I said chasing after him.
"What's going on with us? Seven month ago, we were too in sync. What happened?"
"That was before. Now it's a new school year, new classes, new hobbies-
"New people." I said under my breath, but loud enough for him to head.
"That's just it, Madison. I think we need some time apart. For now. Until I know what we have was meant to be. But for now, I think we need some time apart. You understand that right?"
"Yeah. I guess I do." I said nodding slowly.
"I gotta go. You think Jack can give you a ride home; since you two are such great friends anyway?"
"Uhm," I said trying to fight back the tears. "Sure, I'll ask."
"Bye Madison." He said giving me one last kiss on the cheek.
And Adele was right-sometimes it lasts in love, and sometimes it hurts instead. And this, was definitely hurting.
•
"Thanks for dropping me home Jack." I said grabbing my purse and phone.
"It's cool. Anytime." He said kissing my cheek. It felt weird when it wasn't coming from Cameron, but for some reason, I couldn't stop him.
"I gotta go."
Once I walked in the house, Mom and Dad were on the couch, watching TV.
"How was tutoring, Madison?" Mom said turning to me.
"Miserable. But you two enjoy yourself. For you two, it lasts in love." I said running to my room.
Let the breakup playlists begin.

"Listen Tess, it's over. I'm moving on, and so should you." I said getting off the phone.
"Hey Madison?" I said once she answered the phone. "Do you wanna do something tomorrow?"
