Upon their arrival at the Viking village they bore the marks of a victorious warband. Their faces, once smeared with dirt and sweat, now held the triumphant gleam of conquerors. Each warrior displayed an air of pride and accomplishment, their heads held high. however Erik wasted no time. Following Erik's orders, some of his men escorted Aleka and her sister Katherine Inside the prison, the two sisters were separated from each other. Katherine, still recovering from her earlier ordeal, was locked in a cell with heavy iron bars, while Aleka was placed in a cell nearby. They could see each other, but they were unable to have physical contact.

As the cell doors clanged shut, Erik turned to his personal magic weapon, Diana, the witch who had created the immunity potion for him and the magical handcuffs. She was a formidable presence, her eyes filled with a cold and calculating power.

"Make sure these witches don't cause any trouble," Erik ordered, his voice unwavering.

Erik's command to Diana echoed through the prison chamber as he left. Diana with her hidden motives, nodded in acknowledgment.

In his absence, Erik left two of his most trusted men to stand guard outside the sisters' cell, ensuring their captivity remained secure. The two guards watched with a watchful eye, their faces etched with the stern resolve of Viking warriors.

Diana, who had her own mysterious role to play in this unfolding story, remained in the prison chamber with a calculating presence. Her eyes held secrets, and she had reasons beyond what met the eye. As the sisters contemplated their uncertain future, the prison cell became a nexus of tension and hidden intentions.

Aleka, weakened but not defeated, met Dianas gaze with a defiant glare. She knew that their situation was dire, but she was determined to find a way to protect her sister even in the face of the powerful magic wielded by the Vikings and their witch.

The prison chamber was eerily quiet as Aleka scanned her surroundings. Her heart filled with dread as she noticed the conspicuous absence of other prisoners and captives from their village. Where had the villagers gone? Were they separated from her and her sister, or had the attackers been even more merciless than she had feared?

Faced with the grim reality of her powerless situation, She knew she had to devise a clever plan to regain the upper hand. As she pondered her options, she realized that her best chance lay in disrupting Diana's focus and concentration.

With determination in her eyes, Aleka decided to engage Diana in conversation. While Diana appeared cold and emotionless, she was still human, susceptible to distraction and manipulation. She knew that if she could divert Diana's attention even for a moment, it might provide the opportunity she needed to cast a spell and break free.

She began cautiously, "I must admit, I'm puzzled by your alliance with the Vikings. Why would you choose to help them?"

Diana, her demeanor a mixture of guardedness and defiance, looked at Aleka with a hint of reluctance in her eyes. "There are reasons, Aleka," she replied, her voice tinged with complexity. "Reasons that go beyond what you see on the surface."

Aleka, her curiosity driving her on, pressed further. "Can you at least tell me what drives you? Is it power, loyalty, or something else entirely?"

Diana hesitated for a moment, her gaze turning inward as she contemplated her response. "Power is certainly part of it," she admitted. "But there are deeper, darker secrets I'm keeping."

Sensing that Diana was holding back, Aleka continued, "I sense a history between you and Erik, something more personal. Can you shed some light on that?"

Diana's expression tightened, and she finally revealed a part of her hidden truth. "Erik rescued me from my own coven," she confessed. "I had betrayed them by experimenting with forbidden black magic, trying to drain my coven's power for my own gain. They've been searching for me to exact their vengeance."

Aleka's eyes widened with understanding. "So, Erik offered you protection in exchange for your magical abilities."

Diana nodded, a mixture of relief and resignation in her eyes. "Yes. I had no choice but to agree to his terms. It was the only way to escape my coven's judgment."
