Ughhh..... Stuck in detention. To make matters worse, stuck in detention with this dipshit Will. And it's not even my fault! First things first though. Let me take you back to the beginning....
First of all, my name is Aubriana. I am 16 years old, although my 17th birthday is in a few weeks. I'm a junior at Washington High School in Vineyard, Florida. My house is a ten minute walk from the beach, which is my favorite place on this earth. As far as school popularity goes, I'm not an outcast. I'm not popular either, but not an outcast.
I would say I have a nice inner circle of friends. Oh, and of course Lyssa. She's the reason I survived freshman year. She's a grade ahead of me, but she's advanced academically. So we're the same age. I love swimming and just chilling on the beach. I'm also really into acting, it's what I want to do when I get older.
Unfortunately, the school only does 2 plays a year. The fall play, and the Christmas talent show. I know, lame. They don't announce the play until the day of auditions, either. So if you sign up to audition, you have no idea what you are getting yourself into. Normally they just do some form of Shakespeare or a musical.
Anyways, I always audition for the musicals or plays and normally end up getting the part I want. Granted, the drama program isn't all that good, but they give every single person who auditions a part. And every single person that auditions has to help with setting up the stage, lights, and building the sets.
So the day of auditions rolls around. All the drama kids and anyone else who was dared, somehow roped into it, and anyone else they can get shows up to the auditorium. Mr Edgelle, the drama program director is standing on the stage and everyone else is waiting in anticipation for him to announce what the next musical or play will be. Mr Edgelle is a little odd sometimes, but he's pretty easygoing and most everyone likes him.
"And I would just like to thank everyone for coming out here and either auditioning or helping with the sets when-" as Mr Edgelle continued with his speech, I noticed a few seats to my right the trio, chuckling loudly. I'm bored, so I of course listen in.
The trio consists of the most popular, rich, hot guys in school. I think that they're all overhyped douchebags though.
"Aw fuck."
That voice belonged to Will, notorious for being a bit of a hothead when it comes to talking with teachers. He's in my math class, and he somehow always gets A plusses, even though he's always sleeping. And if he wasn't known for being the hothead rich kid, he was known for being quite the ladies' man and one of the most, if not the most attractive guy in school. He had dark eyes and dark hair. He was tall, and quite fit. He played football as well. The only thing I admired about him was the fact that he never cheated on his girlfriends, (which I know is the bare minimum) unlike his friends. He was also always dissuading his friends from cheating too.
"I can't believe I lost that stupid bet," He continued.
"Hahaha! That's what you get for betting against me! Never lost once!"
That was Jacob, school fuckboy and one of Will's close friends.
"And remember, you need to audition for the male lead and actually TRY to get it!"
And that was the last member of the trio, Eric. He wasn't as bad as Jacob but still a fuckboy, and he was also captain of the football team. He wasn't the worst person overall, just a big player.
"Yeah, and you better get it!" Said Jacob.
So that was the trio. Mostly just asshole heartbreakers, but at least Will was always loyal.
Mr Edgelle continued, "And, after careful consideration and a lot of hard work, I have decided to do Romeo and Juliet with a bit of a modern twist."
There were a few cheers and groans.
"Now I'm going to call you up in pairs, and we'll go from there. But first, I will need help. Miss Fisher, would you help me with these lines to demonstrate first?"
I stand up and start to make my way out to the aisle, but when I get to the end, someone trips me. As I drop all my stuff, I hear chuckling behind me, and I turn around and become face-to-face with Will.
