It was the day after the proposal and the two barely left each others side and the people of Winterfell began to notice, they would stare in confusion as the lion and the wolf bastard laughed together teasing each other like they had known each other for decades, but they didn't dare ask her or him about it they just let them be. Lexi knew she wanted to enter her mothers old room, she knew her past self never ventured inside, but this time would be different she would look, to find something for Jon, to give him proof without him laughing at her. He always laughed at those rumours dismissed them without thought and for a while she did too but she saw the silver of her hair and it made her begin to believe, so maybe there was something, some proof that Lord Stark had taken and stashed away from her and his wife and family, she had to try, for Jon's sake as well as hers.

"Love, are you okay?" Jaime whispered as he caught her staring at the tower he knew she as well as her mother called home. When he didn't get a reply he squeezed her hand gently and brushed a stray hair from her face, his hand lingering on her cheek before she blinked and looked at him.

"I-I'm" She stammered before sighing, if it was anyone else she would lie but this was her Jaime, her Lannister Lion and she couldn't bring herself to lie to him about where her mind wandered too. "My parents, my mother's room lies at the top and I have always wondered what lays there, if there is something, anything-"

"You can give Jon as proof to show what an idiot he is by going to the wall no matter how admirable it is." Jaime finished and Lexi nodded.

"Yes, he goes the day we head back to King's Landing so there is still time to change his mind, though I know he wont he got the Stark looks and stubbornness but maybe the proof would help settle his mind that he is in fact a Stark and not a fucking bastard as that witch likes to remind us daily." Lexi spat, she felt sorry for Catlyn it couldn't have been easy for her to see her husband returning home with two babes in tow but it wasn't an excuse to be cruel, Lexi nor Jon had any choice if they did they would dead by the hands of the King or dead with their mother not living under the spiteful gaze of Lady Stark or the grieving and pitiful glances of Lord Stark. No child ever wished to be born and yet Lady Stark always believed they chose to be born.

"Then Let's go. Together." Jaime whispered and Lexi nodded as she stared back at the tower. The courtyard was quiet everyone was in the hall or in Wintertown so no one would notice them which was good as the last thing Lexi wanted was Lord Stark or even the King to follow them up the tower. Jaime pulled her gently beside him as they began to climb the tower each step closer for Lexi felt heavier as child's laughter rang through her ears, one that was hers and Jon's and then there was a sweet motherly voice and a gruff laugh, her parents, tears welled in her eyes as she thought of her parents, of the life that the Gods kept plaguing her with. Jaime's hand in hers kept her grounded but it didn't chase the voices away completely.

Jaime kept silent, he knew she heard a past life he had once as well any time he imagined his mother wishing she was there to protect his brother the way he couldn't from his father, to comfort him when his father had shouted at him for failing because Lannisters never fucking failed. Her voice faded as he got older as he grew to be the man he knew she would never want him to be he though of Cersei and her genius in manipulation, he always heard his mother after a soft voice chastising him and after killing the mad king he heard her louder than ever telling him he would be alright. He knew from this that all Lexi needed was a silence presence beside her to keep her grounded and not to get lost in a past that never could be.

Each step they grew closer the harder it was for Lexi to breathe but she would do this for her, for Jon, for her parents, she just knew there was something in those rooms for her and Jon, there had to be. They reached the solid wooden door, a direwolf carved into the solid dark wood, no one could argue that Lyanna Stark was not a true Stark and Northman. Lexi just stared at the door her hand trembling as she lifted it. She traced the craving before turning to Jaime, fear and anxiety swirled behind her eyes as she turned to look at Jaime who had let go of her hand standing behind her giving her space he assumed he wanted. She held out her hand, Lexi needed him and he could never refuse her anything and gently grabbed her hand and came beside her his hand over hers on the latch "Ready Love?" He asked.
