Bishop swirled the food in the bit chili pot around and around listening to Acadia rant about her last couple of days as she painted her toes. "If you don't wanna go I won't make you go" she finally settled on. Bishop heard the sadness in her voice but she tried to hide it well. It's not that he didn't want to have a fun night out it was more that he didn't want to have a whole night celebrating Kenya. Her sneaky ass."Do you think Cago is gonna be there?" Bishop chewed his lip waiting for a reply and Acadia stayed silent for a minute then shrugged. He started the oven put the corn bread in it then picked up the phone so his face was back in the screen.
"You ain't ask him?" She questioned but he was still blocked.
"No, I haven't seen him in a while" Bishop replied and he then thought about his words. Or talked to him. He saw him two- three days ago when he threw lip gloss at him then Chicago took him to pick up his car but after that nothing. Not that he thought Chicago was the type to find other ways to contact you when he's blocked but maybe at least stop by?
"Shit just the other day I saw him with a big ass hickey over his neck- you don't know bout that?" Acadia teased and Bishop smirked slightly and shrugged.
"Where you see him at?"
"We live in the same building! And we smoke together. I was all like who gave you that? He act like he ain't know what I was talking bout then go if you gotta ask it's not meant for you to know" she spoke and smoke blew into the camera. Bishop just looked away and she laughed almost choking on her blunt.
" oh you and Him fucking na huh? Girls night happening soon- me you, your cousins a sister something cause this juicy" she nodded as she realized that it was a good idea.
"Maybe pre game for this stupid party" bishop finally agreed and Acadia smiled typing away making the plans. He didn't want to seem clingy but now he wanted to see Chicago. It really had been a while and they left off with unfinished business.
"so you just know where I took my car too?" Bishop asked rasing a eyebrow and Chicago shrugged without saying much. It was the same day that Bishop threw the lip gloss at him and he didn't feel like talking. You could say Chicago had a attitude, not at Bishop but he spent the rest of his shift at the libary reflecting on the effect Bishop had on him. Did he like it? Not at all. Giving someone the ability to alter your emotions was dangerous with his line of work. Yet here he was pulling up to the car shop because Bishop needed a ride. "You can leave imma just drive myself home obviously"
"Imma make sure you straight first" he spoke and Bishop who was half in the car half out just glanced at him and let out a small laugh at Chicagos choice of words. Chicago watched the man walk in and all interactions he could see until his burner went off. Only reason he had it was due to him slowly starting to put one foot into Titans spot. His mind wasn't sure if he really wanted to do that. He never wanted to lead- shit not even be lead assassin. He just wanna make money in ways he knew how- there wasn't that many.
He answered the phone and waited for the other person to speak, it was silent for a minute before Trystan voice came through the phone.
"You good? Heard some shit pop off last night"
"Kenya sniffing out opps I guess"
"Princess getting dirty? That's a first"
"Lots of first happening lately"
"So you popping out to the party then? Cause if he was last seen with Kenya they bound to shake the room" Trystan informed and truthfully Chicago didn't even think that far ahead. He glanced out the window to see if Bishop was coming and then sucked his teeth.
